Always Pray About It Fon

Today, the Lord showed me something that I had not seen before while reading chapter 1 of Acts. It was in verses 23 and 24.

So they proposed two: Joseph, called Barsabbas, who was also known as Justus, and Matthias. Then they prayed, “You, Lord, know everyone’s hearts; show which of these two you have chosen. — Acts 1:23-24 CSB

I saw the word proposed (aye) and then I saw the word prayed. The Lord showed me in this scripture that they proposed, then they prayed. In other translations, they used the word suggested instead of proposed. But the point was, they came up with two people to replace Judas, but right after they came up with who, they went to the Lord in prayer.

That’s the message Holy Spirit wanted me to see this morning. No matter what ideas, proposals or suggestions you come up with or you are presented with, your next step is always to pray about it.

And check out their prayer: You Lord know everyone’s heart. SHOW which one of these two YOU HAVE CHOSEN.

Holy Spirit was showing me in this scripture that my prayer should be: WHAT DO YOU WANT LORD? WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE LORD?

No matter what I bring to the Lord, I always need to not be praying for my will, but for the Lord’s will to be done with what I pray about.

Let us be like the disciples and bring our petitions, proposals, and suggestions to the Lord but know that we are to pray and ask for God to choose who and what He wants for our lives.

P.S. I just love my Conversations With a God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
