Don't Be Distracted!

Don’t Be Distracted

“[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing his deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. Hebrews 12:2 Amplified Version

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

The enemy always tries his best to distract us, and when we get serious about having fellowship with the Lord, he will try to distract you even more. That’s what happened this morning as I woke up the pray. The enemy attacked as soon as my feet hit the floor. I woke up focused on the wrong thing and he tried to get into my head before I even went into my prayer closet, but THANK YOU JESUS that I persevered through prayer!

Here’s what Holy Spirit said:

  • Don’t get distracted! The more you praise me, the more the enemy will try to distract you. Stay focused on me and keep praying, while I remove every distraction!

  • Don’t worry when people pull away from you, it’s not you, it’s ME! (WOW WOW WOW!! Holy Spirit said I’m pulling them away from you, there isn’t anything you have done to them. I am pulling them away from you for your good!)

  • Put your head down. Focus on your assignments. Don’t let the commotion going on around you distract you.

  • The more I elevate you, the more focused you have to be.

  • Reset your focus on me at every level. Every level you go up, the distractions will follow, but you have to stay focused on me.

  • When you feel weaker, I am actually making you stronger. (Read 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 MSG)

  • The old ways and the old stuff will try to creep in as I am giving you new things, but don’t fall for it. Don’t fall for USED. I SAID NEW!! (OOHHH WEE…THANK YOU JESUS!!)

  • Again, don’t be deceived. (Read 2 Timothy 3: 12-17).

On this Good Friday, where Jesus showed his relentless love for us by going to the cross to die for our sins, let us not allow anything to distract us from that love. I will keep my eyes on you JESUS. Thank you for LOVING ME SO MUCH and sacrificing your life for me so that I could have eternal life with you!
