Behave Accordingly Fon

Why are you standing way back there stretching your neck looking at the front of the line? Come on fellow believer check yourself, you already have access!

This morning as I read Ephesians 1, Holy Spirit reminded me that, as a believer in Jesus Christ, I have access!

In the study notes, Dr. Evans said many of us Christians are living spiritually poor lives, while sitting on a pile of spiritual wealth. While God holds most of our spiritual inheritance for eternity, He will give us what we need now to fulfill His purpose for us!

Let that sink in for a moment because some of us (myself included) walk around here moping and sad and down because we have forgotten that we have access.

Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing. Those blessings come from the heavenly world. They belong to us because we belong to Christ. — Ephesians 1:3 NIRV

Do you see that verse? Or do you understand what that verse means? As believers in Jesus Christ, we are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. Dr. Evans pointed out that as believers we are physically located on earth but operate from heavenly places. God wants our position there (in the heavenly places) to dictate our activity on earth.

So not only are we saved by grace, Ephesians 2:6 says: He also raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavens in Christ Jesus.

Let’s just go back a few verses to ensure we comprehend:

But God loves us deeply. He is full of mercy. 5 So he gave us new life because of what Christ has done. He gave us life even when we were dead in sin. God’s grace has saved you. 6 God raised us up with Christ. He has seated us with him in his heavenly kingdom. That’s because we belong to Christ Jesus. — Ephesians 2:4-6 NIRV

We are seated with Jesus!! We have access to our spiritual privileges because of the relocation package we got when we accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior!

Dr. Evans said it’s like a teleconference. We all know about those during this last year. But because of verse 6, we are seated with Christ. That means we are seated physically here on earth, but operating from heavenly places. Like Zoom! You at your house, but you operating from your work computer!

As believers we are present in two places at the same time. We in the world but not of the world. Amen!

This conversation with Holy Spirit is reminder to us that we have an all-access pass to every spiritual blessing that God has placed in our account because our account is LINKED to Jesus. We are seated with Jesus!!! Why don’t we act like it?

Remember when you used to go somewhere with your parents as a child and they would say, now when we get in here, act like you got some sense! LOL! Okay maybe that was just my parents, but y’all we are seated with Jesus, so we need to BEHAVE ACCORDINGLY!

We already have the blessings! Behave accordingly!

We already have access…you better act like it!

Behave according to your access!

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
