Capable for the Calling

The weight of it all started to feel a bit heavy this morning. You may be asking, the weight of what? The weight of what God has assigned me to do. The weight of what God has called me to do. I felt a bit overwhelmed this morning while praying. I realize that’s actually the best place to be and not hide what I am really feeling.
As I shed a few tears, Holy Spirit said to me this morning: I wouldn’t have called you for all of this if I didn’t already know that YOU ARE CAPABLE for the CALL. Everything I have called you for requires: prayer, preparation, practice, persistence, perseverance, and My Power.
These scriptures kept our conversation going:
“May all believers continue to live the wonderful lives God has called them to live, according to what he assigns for each person, for this is what I teach to believers everywhere.” — 1 Corinthians 7:17 TPT
“The one who calls you by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:24 TPT
“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.” — 1 Peter 2:9-10 MSG
“In fact, you were called to live this way, because Christ also suffered in your place, leaving you his example for you to follow.” — 1 Peter 2:21 TPT
“Trust the Lord and his mighty power. Worship him always.” — 1 Chronicles 16:11 CEV
“I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]” — Philippians 4:13 AMP
“I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.”
— Philippians 4:12-13 TPT
When I get frazzled, overwhelmed, or feeling like this is just a bit much, I can check the requirements of the calling: Am I praying enough? Am I prepping enough? Am I practicing enough? Am I persisting enough? Am I persevering enough? Am I relying on God’s power or my own?
Today Holy Spirit reminded me that I am capable for the call, but I must rely on Him for it all!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
