WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

A few years ago, I worked for an agency that didn’t have direct deposit. It blew my mind because I had not received a paper check in probably 10-15 years, if not longer. Every other week when we were paid, it was always a very tense moment financially because you had to wait to get the check, then go deposit the check during lunch, and then wait for it actually show up in your account. The paper check method was much longer than the direct deposit method. As you probably are familiar, direct deposits would often “hit” your account days before your actual pay day! I mean some people even have bills automatically withdrawn on the same day that they know the direct deposit will hit. This morning, during my Scriptural Surprise Bible Reading time, I read a study note that shifted my whole thinking around the Bible, and the Holy Spirit begin flowing this message out of me.

Now you know I read this study note from my Tony Evans Study Bible, right? Y’all know I am going to push that Bible every blog because it is that crucial to your spiritual growth. So I was reading in 2 Timothy, chapter 3. The verses that stood out to me were verses 16-17. It says:

(16) All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, (17) so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 CSB

Now I have read these verses before and heard them many times. The word inspired translated in the Greek, actually means “breathed out by God.” So that means God communicated supernaturally through the Holy Spirit to the authors exactly what He wanted them to write!! Now this blog ain’t scripture, but I totally felt that this morning because that’s exactly how I write this blog each and every day. I pray and listen to God speak to me and then I write it down and share it here on the blog. My prayer is that I communicate exactly what He wants me to write. Side note: The Holy Spirit just reminded me that I majored in Mass Communications, not journalism! I was studying how to communicate to the masses back in college!!! And now, He has me communicating to the masses via this blog with words that He wants me to write. He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrew 12:2). WOW! What a revelation as I am writing this. God had me on this plan all along, as a teenager in college! And I am just now seeing that he has been prepping me this entire time to MASS COMMUNICATE!

Okay so back to what I read that really shifted my thoughts on reading the Bible:

Everything a believer needs to become all that God has redeemed him to be has been deposited in the Scriptures. ~ Tony Evans Study Bible

Notice the word that I bolded…DEPOSIT. The Holy Spirit said to me this morning, I have already given you the ultimate DIRECT DEPOSIT through the Bible. You don’t have to wait until Sunday morning church service for a paper check! Your deposit is already sitting in the bank, ready for you to withdraw each and every day. There is no delay. You can access it at any time. And you didn’t even have to work for it. I GIFTED IT TO YOU! Ooohh my goodness y’all! THE BIBLE IS THE DIRECT DEPOSIT! It is everything we need to become all that God has called us to be and we don’t have to work for it or wait for man to distribute it every week, every other week, or monthly. THE BIBLE IS THE DIRECT DEPOSIT. We just need to open it up and withdraw what we need from it.

When was the last time you took out a withdrawal from God’s ATM?

Well it’s Friday and I know most of you are used to that being payday for you. So in keeping with what you’re used to, make a withdrawal today. But I want to introduce you to a new daily pay-period. This is one where you can access your direct deposit daily!! Come on somebody! The enemy has been keeping you from accessing your direct deposit. Now how would you act if the enemy kept from you from getting your job’s direct deposit? How would you act if your company didn’t even give you a paper check? You would act a fool…I already know you! LOL!! But for real though, you would do everything in your power to ensure that you got your DIRECT DEPOSIT. Today, do everything in your power to ensure that you get your direct deposit. Just like there are many banks you can choose to withdraw from, there are many different Bibles you can pick from. choose to pull mine from Kingdom Living Bank…called the Tony Evans Study Bible. LOL! No matter what, just make sure you getting your direct deposit daily!
