Drawing Conclusions or Circles? Fon

While up early for prayer this morning, I discerned the voice of God saying: Erase all conclusions that you hav drawn with your own mind. Seek Me. Ask Me. Come to Me. Don’t draw conclusions.

I wrote this down in my journal and I went to look up what drawing conclusions means. Now of course I think I know what it means, but when Holy Spirit uses specific words, I like to look them up to get even more revelation.

According to quick google search: Drawing conclusions means info is implied or inferred. Info is never clearly stated. It means to make a judgement or judgments. To arrive at a judgement or opinion by reasoning, reason, conclude, deduce, or infer.

Synonyms for drawing conclusions include: figure out, infer, and speculate. Figure means to compute, reason, guess, etc.

As I was writing down these definitions, Holy Spirit chimed in and said: Don’t draw conclusions based on what you see. Document what I say. Read My Word and draw a circle around it!

Two scriptures that came to mind were Jeremiah 29:11 and Proverbs 3:5

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. — Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; — Proverbs 3:5 NIV

It is better to trust the Lord than to trust people. — Psalms 118:8 ICB

When I look at what Holy Spirit said and what His word says, I can’t be drawing my own conclusions about anything. I have to trust God and rely on Him for everything. Get His permission before I make any decisions or any moves. Per Jeremiah 29:11 He knows the plans. Per Proverbs, I don’t need to lean on my understanding. And per Psalms, it is better to trust the Lord than people…and I am people.

So no more trying to figure out, speculate, or infer any situation in my life. Yall know that a synonym for infer is assume. Uhmm hmmm. I know you’ve heard the saying about the word assume. Well let’s the Lord use a donkey to speak to you if He wants to like Numbers 22:28, but don’t you go being a donkey and making assumptions. LOL!

Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” — Numbers 22:28 NIV

You know what else infer means? Understand! Again Proverbs tells us don’t lean on our understanding, but to trust in the Lord.

We can’t say we depend on God or trust God when we are reasoning, speculating, figuring, and solving for that which we are trusting Him. And we should be trusting Him for EVERYTHING! Yes! That too!

Bottomline: Document and draw circles ! Document what you hear the Lord saying! And draw a circle around what He said in His Holy Word.

P.S. I just love my daily conversations with God…don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved.
