For the Greater Glory

Today my conversation with Holy Spirit started off with Him sharing with me about priorities. I was praying specifically for a friend who has a lot of work, to be strengthened for all their work today and that’s when these words came to me:
Prioritize from My Perspective.
Everything has a place.
Everything is not a priority.
Seek My Perspective.
Seek My Timing.
I shared the words with my friend via text and knew they were also for me too! And now they are for you as well. It all boils down to seeking God.
When I opened my Bible to John, chapters 11 and 12, Holy Spirit pointed out two scriptures to me and the study notes from my Bible gave me 5 reasons the Lord does things His Way. Now in chapter 11, this is where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. I love how the Lord takes me back to familiar scripture to reveal something totally unfamiliar to me!
Here are the two scriptures first:
Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” — John 11:40 CSB
Meanwhile, the crowd, which had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify. — John 12:17 CSB
The parts in these scriptures that stood out and spoke to me were:
When I believe, I WILL SEE the glory of God!
Once I see the glory of God, I am to CONTINUE TO TESTIFY!
When I delved a bit deeper into those scriptures in the study notes of my Bible, I saw these 5 reasons that we sometimes have to experience temporary grief. It’s all for the greater glory, but there are other reasons as well.
Here’s what I wrote down as the reasons why God does things His Way (keep in mind this is the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead but Jesus didn’t show up until after Lazarus has died vs before He had died). Here’s why He did it His Way:
For public supernatural display.
To show and validate WHO HE IS.
To spark faith in the masses.
To produce tremendous spiritual impact.
To bring God greater glory.
And after we identify these 5 reasons in our personal grief experiences, we are to continue to testify about what God has done and what God IS doing!
It’s all for the greater glory! That thing that happened that way in your life, was for the greater glory of God! That thing that is happening right now in your life, is for the greater glory of God. When you believe, you WILL SEE the glory of God.
God is giving you a testimony for the greater glory. Will you continue to testify about what He has already done until He gives you another testimony?
P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
