It’s the renewed mind for me!
Y’all know how that’s the trending phrase on social media these days. People say, “it’s the ______ for me,” in response to someone’s post.
Well, I don’t usually jump on trendy sayings buuuuut, it’s the freedom for me!
It’s the demolition of strongholds for me!
This morning as I rose again in the 3:30 am hour to pray, I heard the Holy Spirit say: I renew minds. I AM the mind regulator. I AM the heart fixer.
Fix US Jesus!
When I looked up the definition of regulator, it is synonymous with: transformer, adjuster, governor, control, switch, and manager. So if we replace the word regulator with these, you see that Jesus is:
A Mind Transformer
A Mind Adjuster
A Mind Governor
A Mind Controller
A Mind Switcher
A Mind Manager
to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24 NIV
Have a new mind and heart. Be a new person. That new person has been made like God. He does what is right and holy because he knows the truth. Ephesians 4:23-24 Worldwide English (New Testament)
When I flipped open my Bible this morning, I turned to Matthew and then was led to 2 Corinthians 10. In this 10th chapter, verse 5 says: and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ. Dr. Tony Evans said in the study notes that if we are not taking every thought captive to obey Christ and are instead succumbing to a stronghold, it’s because you either don’t know the truth or aren’t making use of the truth you know.
Strongholds are destructive thought patterns that lead people astray and hold them hostage to sinful, harmful, and addictive behavior. This is accomplished through blocking the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD from penetrating the MIND and life of the believer.
I have been praying for some strongholds to be broken and what I learned this morning is that strongholds can be demolished by the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, the truth! We know from John 8:32 that the truth sets us free.
Our goal is to use God’s word to shape our thoughts and the thoughts of others to bring them in alignment with God’s perspective.
We got to KNOW THE TRUTH, MAKE USE OF THE TRUTH, and BE SET FREE!
We have the mind of Christ according to 1 Corinthians 2:16. The mind of Christ is the capacity to think Christ’s thoughts after him so that we will live as we ought to live. As spiritual beings, we are to to seek to think about a matter as Christ would. When we are biblically informed and spiritually illuminated, we apply that Christ-like perspective to all of our life decisions.
Is your mind like the mind of Christ?
SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
