God Loves You, So He's Being Patient With You

I kicked off the morning in prayer and after I revered God for WHO HE IS, repented for my sins and forgave those who sinned against me and prayed for them, I had this heaviness to just thank God for his patience with me. Have you ever just paused long enough to think about how patient the Lord has been with you? My mind got to thinking and I felt the tears getting ready to come.
I said it again.
Thank you Lord for your patience with me.
Then I thought about His plan for me.
I said thank you Lord that you know the plans you have for me and that you have been patient with me this entire time when I was outside of your will with my life.
What is God being patient about when it comes to you and your life?
How long has God been patient with you?
See when you think about it like that, you can’t help but to praise Him because of His faithfulness towards us.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of how patient He was with me when I was not living righteously. He said: I love you so much Fon, that I waited patiently on you to turn from the things that you knew were not good; that you knew were not ME!
I kept thanking Him for His patience. I thanked Him for waiting on me to get it together.
Holy Spirit said: I am being patient with those WHO KNOW BETTER!
Now I don’t know if that hit you like it hit me, but I was like WHOA!
The Holy Spirit told me this morning that I was His messenger. He said, “Keep encouraging them to repent and call out to ME for help.”
And that’s exactly what I am going to do! Encourage you this morning!
I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:3 CSB
Psalm 18 is definitely the chapter to read today! You WILL be encouraged as you read it. In my Tony Evans Study Bible, the Hope Words gave me hope as someone whom God waited patiently on to be this praying woman that I am today. He knew that the 1 Hour Prayer Challenge would transform my life completely. He knew that once I submitted fully to Him that He could use me. The Hope Words said: Your commitment in the dark is your key to victory in the light.
As I approach the two year anniversary of when my life transformed forever through the 1 Hour Prayer Challenge (which was simply the tool God chose to use to get me where I am now), I can testify to these hope words being true.
Even as I was reading Psalm 18, it reminded me that God rewards us according to our righteousness. Check out verses 20-24! Our faithfulness and obedience to God brings rewards, including victory over circumstances. Dr. Evans said we should NEVER UNDERESTIMATE the blessings that result from being blameless toward God.
One of the other things I learned while studying Psalm 18 is that WITH GOD on our side, we can defeat any enemy and advance against any opposition. That should be our mindset! The Lord wants to fight all your battles. He wants to rescue you from your enemies, but you must call on Him! You must commit to Him. You must remember how patient He has been, because He loves you that much!
The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance. 2 Peter 3:8 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
