Alright class! It’s time for progress reports!
Yes, progress reports. You’re On Assignment by God, so of course we have progress reports.
What are we checking for today? Godliness and Gift Usage!
When I flipped on my Bible this morning, Holy Spirit spoke to me through 1 Timothy 4. Here’s what I learned and what we should be checking our progress on:
One of the chief characteristics of a Christian is: To give thanks to God always and in everything. (Are we doing this?)
Godliness. Are we becoming more like God in our actions, attitudes, character, and conduct? (Are we?)
The Word of God produces godliness when obeyed (Are we being obedient?)
Our passion for and pursuit of spiritual growth should be greater than our drive to be physically fit. (Are we more focused on be fine or spiritually grown?)
Our souls need a regular workout program. We can’t become godly by chance. (What’s your workout program for your soul?)
We will be called to give an account of how we used the blessings God entrusted to us. (Are you using the gifts God blessed you with?)
So what scripture backs up these progress report questions? Glad you asked. Check it out below (but be sure to read all of 1 Timothy 4):
Training the body has some value. But being godly has value in every way. It promises help for the life you are now living and the life to come. — 1 Timothy 4:8 NIRV
Don’t fail to use the gift the Holy Spirit gave you. He gave it to you through a prophecy from God. It was given when the elders placed their hands on you. — 1 Timothy 4:14
This morning in my conversation with Holy Spirit, he said:
Don’t get distracted. Stay focused on the assignment.
Persevere in the assignment.
Don’t quit. Keep going.
Don’t slack up…push even more.
What is Holy Spirit saying to you about your progress? Do a real assessment as your assignment today.
P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
ASSIGNMENTS
What did Holy Spirit say to you in your conversation with Him this morning?
Finish your progress report assessment and also ask yourself: Who are you becoming.
Record yourself reading the Word of God on video or audio and watch how God will use your own voice to give you revelation and build your faith (keeping this assignment on here for a while).
