Are you standing in the gap?

This morning I stood in the gap in the prayer closet. What’s the gap? It’s the middle of this journey called life, where you’re not where you started, but you’re also not where you’re going yet. It’s the space where you feel stuck in the middle. You’re not moving forward. Something has you bound and you are unable to move yourself, whether physically or mentally. It’s the place where you feel helpless and can’t do it for yourself.

Today, I prayed for those who aren’t praying for themselves, can’t pray for themselves, or aren’t even aware that they should be praying for themselves. I prayed for healing over the sick in the land, the quarantined in every nation, the weak, and those that don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

The Holy Spirit said to me, I will seep through every nook and cranny to reach my people. I serve a loving God who is compassionate.

I prayed for the forgotten. The ones who feel forgotten and the ones who have forgotten, that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof'; the world, and they that dwell therein. (Psalm 24:1 KJV).

I prayed for every person that popped in my head in the natural and then I prayed in the Spirit for those I don’t even know, but I trust that they popped up in the God-head through my prayers.

The Lord wants our attention. The Lord wants our attention. The Lord wants our attention.

The Lord wants our repentance. The Lord wants our repentance. The Lord wants our repentance.

We have gone far too long focusing on everything but Him. The Lord wants YOUR ATTENTION. The Lord wants YOUR REPENTANCE. I stopped by the blog and this podcast today to tell you that the Lord wants your attention and your repentance and He has given you time to surrender it. He’s gotten you alone, you and your family together, because He wants your attention and your repentance. Not just you, but your whole family!

As I was praying this morning for every nation to be healed from this virus. I was loosing healing in the name of Jesus. I was binding the virus in the name of Jesus. I was praying for the people of God to repent from a life that is counter to the life God created for them to live in.

I stood in the gap in the prayer closet this morning crying out to Jesus…for the people: who can’t cry out, who won’t cry out, who are crying, but not out to the one who can dry their tears and give them eternal life.

I stood in the gap fully surrendered so that Holy Spirit could use me in the place of those who haven’t surrendered to be used by God. I was a stand in, in the prayer closet this morning.

Are you a stand in? Or was I standing in for you?

Many times we will hear people say, “it’s time to take a stand or it’s times for the believers to stand up and be who God created them to be.” This morning, I was standing…standing in the gap for the believer and the unbeliever. Were you standing in the gap this morning? Or was I standing the gap for you?

____________

I was reading in Nahum for the Scriptural Surprise. And the introduction from my Tony Evans Study Bible really painted the picture that God wanted me to see this morning. Let me share with you what I read:

Nahum means to console. God is consoling us in the midst of this painful judgement, and also letting these nations know that He will not ignore their evil. Nahum informs us that God is loving, yet He is also just. When I looked up the word “Just,” in the back of my Bible, it means God is Judge of the whole earth. Romans 3:26 says:

God did all this to prove in our own time that he does what is right. He also makes right himself those who believe in Jesus. Romans 3:26 NIRV

for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. Romans 3:26 NLT

Do you believe in Jesus? Does your family believe in Jesus? Do your friends believe in Jesus? Does your neighbor believe in Jesus? How about your co-workers?

Before I go any further, I want to extend Jesus to you, if you don’t believe. Here is the salvation prayer. All you have to do is openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raise Jesus from the dead (Romans 10:9).

If you prayed that prayer out loud, you are saved! Now, go tell everybody you know. Share it on social media. And then connect with a good, bible-based church in your community and online. Start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. The conversation is simply you talking to God and then listening for Him to respond back to you in a still, small voice. You’ll hear Him. Be sure to grab a notebook and write down what you hear Him say to you.

————————————-

Already a born again believer in Jesus Christ?

If you’re already a believer, then I encourage you STAND in the gap and intercede on behalf of those who need our Lord and Savior more than ever before. You may know them by name, they may even be in your sphere of influence. Ask God how to speak to them. Don’t try to do it on your own. Ask God how He wants you to do it. Write down what you hear Him say and then go do it. Those are for the ones you know their name. For the ones who you don’t know their name, spend time praying in the Spirit. It will cover the ones that you don’t know about.

Not praying in the Spirit yet?

Pray that you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues in an initial evident , or sign, of the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4). When you speak in tongues, you are talking to God (who is a Spirit) by divine, supernatural means. In 1 Corinthians 14:14, Paul says, “For I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. So you may not understand what you’re saying, but Holy Spirit does and He can also give you the interpretation of it. Write down what you hear Him say. As you do this daily, you will sharpen your gift.

This morning, I asked the Lord to just take over and as you can see…He did just that. And I believe He did it because He wants our attention and repentance. He wants us right with Him. So let’s do that TODAY! Let’s give our Lord and Savior our attention today!

Hearts and Hugs!!
