Jesus Is On the Way to Your Situation Fon

I wanna kick off this Friday episode letting you know my prayer time worship playlist! Let me tell you something. If you haven’t listened to this album, then you’re missing out! Go and listen to: Old Church Basement by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music! I am not even going to link it because I want you to just go listen to the whole album!

Some of my favorites that helped me worship this morning and that spoke to my heart were the following songs: Jireh; Talking to Jesus; Wait on You; Million Little Miracles; Mercy, and Shall Not Want.

To be very transparent, hitting play on this album on my phone this morning was exactly what my spirit needed. I woke up thinking about things I missed and messed up on. And Holy Spirit had to remind me through that playlist, that He is Jehovah Jireh, I can just Talk to Jesus about it; Waiting on Him; He has already done a million little miracles in my life, and that the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…for nothing. Thank God for His mercy! I just love how some mornings are more worship than anything. That was this morning for me. I still prayed in my heavenly language and listened for what else Holy Spirit wanted to say to me.

Here’s how our conversation went this morning as we talked:

  • I am stretching you.

  • Where I AM taking you requires you to stretch

  • Constant stretching: You will always be stretched in love.

  • I AM with you in the stretch.

  • Look at how much you depend on Me for everything when things are beyond your control. I always want it to be that way. I always want you to be depending on Me.

When I opened my bible to John 11, I knew that this conversation was about to go to another level. This is the story about Lazarus being sick and dying. I have read it many times and even shared here on the blogcast. I was excited to see what Holy Spirit would use from this story to speak to me this morning.

When Jesus heard it, he said, “This sickness will not end in death but is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified THROUGH IT. —John 11:4 CSB

The phrases that seemed to stand out very boldly to me in that scripture were:

  1. When Jesus heard it, he said

  2. Through it.

When Jesus hears our prayers, He says something back. How did He respond to Lazarus being sick? He said this sickness will not end in death, but is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it. So that means everyone involved in this story has to go THROUGH IT so that God may be glorified.

Sometimes we have to go THROUGH IT, so that God can get the glory from it!

In verse 5, it says: Now Jesus loved Fon. Okay okay, it really says Jesus loved Martha, her sister, and Lazarus. But just add your name in scripture so it can be personal to you. So again I read: Now Jesus loved Fon (that’s me). Verse 6 says, so when He heard that I was not well, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. Then after that, He said to the disciples, “Let’s go to Brandon, MS again.”

See I am about to shout right now! When you make that thang personal…woo wee! I feel my help coming on. Hallelujah!

I heard Holy Spirit speak to me as I personalized the Word of God. He said, “Fon I won’t leave you in a dead situation. Even if it seems like I am not coming or answering, wait on me, I AM ON MY WAY!

How can I be so confident that Jesus is on the way to my situation? In verse 11, it says: He said this, and then He told them, “Our friend Fon has fallen asleep, but I AM ON THE WAY to wake her up.”

Holy Spirit said: I am on my way to wake up that dead situation in your life. I HEARD YOU. It may seem like I am delayed in answering, but I am aware of everything you’re dealing with, and it WILL END IN VICTORY, not loss. Fon, it happens this way for the glory of God, so that I may be glorified THROUGH IT.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!! Jesus is on the way!

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
