Jesus, the Light of the World Fon

As I was preparing to write the blog this morning, I felt this spirit of difficulty try to rise up. The Lord immediately said: When it seems hard, go back to the original instructions.

Sometimes when I sit down to write, I feel that sense of difficulty. It’s like a weight to getting it just right. It’s that perfectionism trying to rear its ugly head. The Lord reminded me that this assignment is simply about sharing our conversations. That’s it. When I focus on that, it’s not difficult. When I focus on that, it’s not hard. I don’t have to be perfect. I am simply sharing what the Holy Spirit said to me during our prayer time. Anything outside of that is me overthinking and going beyond the instructions of the Lord.

Here’s what ALL the Holy Spirit said to me this morning:

  • While flipping to Psalms, I landed in Nehemiah 4:20 and the Lord wanted me to know that He is fighting for me.

  • As I kept turning the pages to get to Psalms, one of the HOPE WORDS said: When God delays, He always delays for a greater purpose.

  • Holy Spirit said to me directly: Continue to learn how to pray, so you can help others learn how to pray.

  • In Psalms 4:6 these words stood out: Let the light of your face shine on us, Lord.

  • I flipped to Psalms 44 and verse 3 says: For they did not take the land by their sword— their arm did not bring victory— but by your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable toward them.

  • I thanked the Lord for his right hand, his arm, and the light of his face.

  • The Holy Spirit said to me directly: There is a glow about you because my face shines on you. My favor shines on you. My faithfulness shines on you.

  • He continued: My face shining on you is an impenetrable force. Nothing evil will come near you.

  • The Holy Spirit then poured out:

    • My light is warm.

    • My light covers you.

    • My light keeps you.

    • My light brings you out of darkness.

    • My light highlights you.

    • My light humbles you.

    • My light reveals.

As I stood up to exit the prayer closet, I said: Jesus, you are the light of the world.

Jesus spoke to the people again. He said, “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have that light. They will have life.” John 8:12 NIRV

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
