Welcome to the OABG Daily Blog and Daily Podcast!
It’s the last official day of our Scriptural Bible Study for the book of Ephesians, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go back and read it again. The Holy Spirit is known for giving new revelation on scriptures you think you may already know.
This morning, the areas that Ephesians 6 touched on include:
Children obey your parents because it is the right thing to do.
Honoring our fathers and mothers as this is the first commandment with a promise .
Instructing fathers how to correct, encourage, and teach their kids divine guidelines. This one really stood out because it said we are to bring our children up in the instruction of the Lord. We are to nurture and care for them. We are to give them age-appropriate discipline, not in anger but in love. Then Dr. Evans study notes said, DISCIPLINE IS NOT THE SAME THING AS VENTING! Yikes! That popped out of the text specifically for me, because I know I can be quite the venter when I am disciplining my kids. Consider me corrected Lord.
God disciplines us in love in order to correct our behavior and that’s what we should do with our kids.
Live with a heavenly perspective.
Serve with a good attitude, as to the Lord, and not to people. You have a heavenly employer too and He is watching even when your earthly employer isn’t. We are slaves of Christ and we are to do God’s will from our heart.
Serve Christ in your job means obeying your employer as long he/se doesn’t ask you to disobey Christ. And this part right here: Even if your employer doesn’t see your good works or show appreciation for what you do, God sees all and will reward you! That’s for somebody who feel like they keep getting the short end of the stick, but know good and well they are doing their best on the job.
Spiritual warfare is the conflict in the spiritual realm that affects the physical realm. Our daily problems that we face here on earth are rooted in the spiritual realm and our weapons for this kind of war are also in the spiritual realm. Bottom line: you can’t shoot a demon with your gun or punch them in the face (if though you may want to). You would actually be punching the person who the demon is operating within, but you won’t touch the demon. You got to fight with the full armor of God knowing that the victory is already won.
Know this! The battles we face daily are all rooted in the devil and his efforts to deceive us. The demonic realm watches our lives and knows our history, our weaknesses, and our sin patterns. The devil’s goal is to keep you from experiencing God’s will for your life. The thing is, the only power the devil has is the power that you give him through sin and disobedience. Living an unrighteous life opens the door to the devil. When we sin, we are giving satan the power to invade our hearts and lives. And he is coming to try to beat us down spiritually. But you can overcome the devil just like Jesus did with the Word of God. The devil can’t function in an environment of integrity and he is allergic to the Word of God when it is CONSISTENTLY used against him.
Prayer is the divine means for putting on spiritual armor.
Be encouraged today to STAND FIRM in Christ’s victory! The enemy can never defeat you when you do!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make! Feel free to email me at info@onassignmentbyGod.com and let me know about your newfound life or if you need prayer for anything.
