Let’s K.I.S.S.!!!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

In today’s blog, I want to encourage you with a K.I.S.S.! Nope, not the lip puckering kind, nor the degrading acronym with the ‘s’ word I won’t even use here. Today I want to encourage you to Keep It Simple Saints!

This morning the Holy Spirit asked: Have you done the last thing I told you to do?

It’s a simple question. Have you done it?

As I searched for an accompanying scripture for this questions, I found Genesis 17:23. In this verse we see that Abraham did what God told him to do ON THAT VERY DAY!

Did you know that delayed obedience is actually disobedience? Yup it is! I read this next line in another blog post on faithgateway.com: Postponed obedience can never bring us the full blessing God intended or what it would have brought had we obeyed at the earliest possible moment. We actually rob ourselves, God, and others when we procrastinate!

The only way to be obedient is to obey instantly! So let’s just K.I.S.S. (keep it simple saints) and obey right away, when God instructs us.

I didn’t instantly obey when God told me to write my new book Permission Slips! He gave me 30 days to write it and I was like…wait God…I have never done that before. He assured me I could do all things with him (Philippians 4:13 says so), but I wasn’t obedient. Then God changed the instructions from 30 days to 3 days!!! Yes I said 3 days to write the book! Guess what? With prayer and fasting, I wrote the book in 3 days! Yes, when you get the book, know that it was written by God through me in 3 whole days! I had nine chapters left to write when He gave me the instructions to fast for three days and write it. I broke the 9 chapters up into 3’s and wrote three chapters per day. I even finished it early on the third day!! Now what does that remind you of? Getting up EARLY on the third day? It’s just like Jesus!! He rose early on the 3rd day with all power in His hands! That’s the kind of Savior we serve! He can do ANYTHING within us, when we surrender to Him, including writing a book in 3 days!
