From Mundane to Magnificent

From Mundane to Magnificent!

The Passion Translation

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

it’s a great Saturday morning to be up early praying and reading the Word of God! Let’s get straight into my conversation with God!

This morning, I heard the Holy Spirit say this:

  • Don’t be mundane, be magnificent! Don’t just live a life that’s mundane. I created you to have a magnificent life, not a boring, woe-is-me, kind of life. If you’re feeling like that, you’re living out of My Will for your life.

  • Confess ALL your sins so I can remove even the remnants and the residue of things you may have forgotten all about, but never confessed.

  • Ask for forgiveness for things you forgot about. I’ll help you remember so that you can ask Me for forgiveness. There are some old things that you still need to confess.

  • Sweeping sin under the rug without confession doesn’t offer you the freedom I want to give you. Just because you don’t do it anymore doesn’t mean you still don’t need to confess. You do need to confess. Sweeping it under the rug is a future fall hazard to your life. You don’t want to be tripped up by the enemy on unconfessed sin.

  • Why ask other people what to do when you can ask Me directly? I have all the answers.

  • Don’t become reliant on other people’s answers to your questions about life or what direction to go in. Come ask Me first, THEN I will tell you the answer through a person that I CHOOSE, not your choosing. Or it may come directly from me in the prayer closet.

  • Only follow those who are being led by the Me. Wherever they go, you go. But only if they are truly being led by Me. And you will know if they are, because I will tell you.

The scriptural surprise led me to another passage that I had read before. Clearly this is becoming a pattern with the Holy Spirit. He is having me go back to familiar passages to reveal something else to me. I love it!

Today I read 2 Kings 1-2. In chapter 1, it’s talking about Elijah confronting King Ahaziah and then in chapter 2, it talks about Elijah being taken into heaven, but not before Elisha following him everywhere he went.

I believe the Holy Spirit wanted to show me that I should only follow those who are being led by the Lord and not leave their side. Go read the text for yourself but Elijah asked Elisha what he could do for him before he was taken away to heaven, and Elisha asked for for a double portion of his master Elijah’s spirit to be upon him. And that’s what he got because he saw his master be carried away into heaven. Yes indeed!!! He was able to perform miracles like his master did because he had stayed close.

I can’t tell y’all how thankful I am that I read the bible now. I used to always think that it was kind of boring, but I mostly felt like I didn’t understand it. Now I realize why. We aren’t just to read the bible, which is what I was doing previously. We are to pray and ask God to show us His word and make it come alive to us. That’s what happens to me every day that I read. The Word of God comes alive. I pray that you will get that too when you read it!!

Have a great Saturday!
