Have you ever been the type to overthink a thing? I know I have. It’s a daily practice for me to not get all in my head about something. I realized through an event that happened yesterday that I have to really not let other people get in my head, even with well-intentions. And I recognized that the enemy will try to use this “overthinking” problem that I have to seed insecurity, doubt, and ultimately seek to become a distraction. I prayed about that this morning and the Lord said this:
Do what I have instructed you to do. I will tell you if I want you to help them.
Don’t focus on anyone else without My permission first. Certain things are sent to distract you and to get you overthinking, and that’s not necessary for any assignment I have given to you.
Don’t be deterred by distractions.
Bind distractions immediately.
Look in my Word for a scripture that you can confess when overthinking tries to overtake your mind.
When Holy Spirit said find a scripture, I did just that. I found 5 scriptures:
1 Corinthians 2:16
Romans 12:2
Ephesians 2:19-22
Philippians 4:6
Proverbs 31:25
Now what I could have done was added the scriptures here for your convenience, but guess what else the Holy Spirit told ME to do? He said, “don’t get used to doing it one way. It’s time to change your routine. Set a Bible study schedule, so that you can go deeper. In order for you to go deeper, you have to study My Word even more!”
That means I am taking y’all on the ride to a deeper study with God by having you go and read those scriptures on your own! Now I will say my favorite one of all of them is 1 Corinthians 2:16, which says in part: “But we have the mind of Christ.” I ended up writing that one down and making it a confession.
“I have the mind of Christ.”
By making it a confession, I immediately heard the Holy Spirit confirm by saying, “that’s right, you have MY MIND, and I don’t overthink anything.”
I also made Proverbs 31:25 a confession as well.
I am clothed in strength and dignity, and I laugh without fear of the future.
I recently learned the power of confessions and it definitely makes a difference when you make the scripture personal to you!
Be encouraged today not to overthink. God has the solution for the thing you are thinking about day and night. Have a conversation with Him about it and watch Him give you exactly what you need from His word.

What God released last week: In a previous blog post, the Lord told me that He would be releasing somethings to me, even this past week. He told me to document it and I shared with you that I would give you a summary of all that He released!! I am super excited to share that He released my gift of coaching! I was able to jump on the phone last week and coach women into their purpose like I have never done before! I knew it was God! Then He released money in the form of new clients, random acts of kindness, and a new membership subscription! He released me from this thought of being perfect in this new homeschooling routine. That was major! He released favor on my debts where money is no longer due NOW. Amen! These were the things I documented. I am sure it was more, but that’s why it’s so important to document document document your blessings and answered prayers!
