Oiled and Armored

And we are back… oiled and armored up!
Today I prayed as I was getting ready and the Holy Spirit reminded me as I showered that He will clean me up and give me a freshness. He reminded me as I put on lotion that He has anointed me. As I put on undergarments, I thought about the breastplate of righteousness.
The second piece of the armor of God that Paul discusses in Ephesians 6 is the breastplate of righteousness. In the armor of a Roman soldier, the breastplate served as protection for some of the most important parts of the body. Underneath the breastplate is the heart, lungs and other organs necessary for life.
“Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious. Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart.” — Ephesians 6:13-14 TPT
As I continued getting ready WHILE praying , the Holy Spirit said: Get ready right! Don’t leave anything out and don’t leave the house without Me.
God prepares us for the day when we seek Him first!!
When I opened my Bible, I ended up in 2 Kings 4, the story about the widow’s oil being multiplied. What I noticed was verse 5. The word KEPT really stood out.
“So she left. After she had shut the door behind her and her sons, they kept bringing her containers, and she kept pouring.” — 2 Kings 4:5 CSB
The Holt Spirit said: As long you continue to be empty for Me, the oil will continue to flow in your life. I will fill you up till you overflow.
I am so thankful that I am KEPT by God!
Am I empty of sin, so that God can fill me up with His oil to be used for His glory?
SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
