Old Things Are Passed Away Fon Strong James

Listen to the podcast version of this blog.

When I tell you that today’s blog and podcast title is the truest ever! Y’all can not even understand that I have been on Google trying to figure out why I can’t use the same process I have always used to post the blog! That’s because God is doing a NEW THING in this NEW MONTH and old things are passed away!

And YES!!! That’s the exact conversation me and the Holy Spirit had this morning. It’s like every day He is giving me my daily bread. I am seeing how his instructions and his Words are manifesting so quickly. The last several conversations have been filled with words like: key instructions, hard resets, and obedience. Today’s words were:

  • Old things are passed away.

  • New month. New Things.

  • Embrace the new.

  • Trust Me in the new.

  • The new is unfamiliar to you, but not to me.

  • Be anxious for nothing.

  • You have made your request known. I know what you want.

  • I am with you in the learning curve of the new.

  • Keep talking, I'm listening.

  • Then you keep listening because I am talking.

God is faithful to perform His word!

As I read Deuteronomy 3 for the Scriptural Bible Study this morning, verses 21-22 really stood out.

21 At that time I commanded Joshua: “You have seen with your own eyes all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings. The Lord will do the same to all the kingdoms over there where you are going. 22 Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.” Deuteronomy 3:21-22 CEV

I believe the Lord was telling me. Fon, you have SEEN with your own eyes what I have done in these previous months in your life, and I will do the same for where you are going. Don’t be afraid of anything new. I will fight for you.

I am truly experiencing life outside of my comfort zone in this season. God is most certainly stretching me for His glory. What gives me peace is that in our conversation this morning He said, the new is unfamiliar to you, but not to me. I am with you in the learning curve of the new.

He is with me as I type on this new device He blessed me with. He is with me as I navigate the new version of my website and stay on assignment. He is with me as I pursue new ventures in business. He is with me as I pursue new relationships. He is with me as I pursue new ways of training my children up in the way they should go. He is with me as I enter into this NEW MONTH of October. He is with me as I enter into this NEW DAY, a day I have never seen before. He is with me in this new deeper relationship that I have with Him.

Old things are passed away. Welcome to the new!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
