One Word Fon

What did you say?

Did you say something?

What are you always saying to yourself? What are you always saying to others?

Whachu talking ‘bout Willis? (Y’all remember that show Different Strokes). LOL!

My question for you is, whatchu talking ‘bout Reader/Listener (text me at 601-299-4398 so I can know your name and put your name there).

As I was reading Psalms 33 this morning, it was verse 9 that sparked a flame, and had the Holy Spirit giving me a REMINDER! He said: One Word from Me can change everything!

When I read Psalm 33:9, those were the words I heard Holy Spirit say.

For he spoke, and it came into being; he commanded, and it came into existence. Psalm 33:9 CSB

God Spoke.

God Commanded.

The next thing I thought about was the verse that says, God is not a man that He should lie. That’s Numbers 23:19. I don’t know about you, but I have been a woman who has lied and I have had men lie to me (and women too). I am pretty sure all of us have lied at some point in our lives. And if you immediately said not me, you just lied right then.

But as I was studying that verse and writing what the Holy Spirit said about one word, I thought about my own words. What am I saying? What am I speaking into existence with my words?

Job 22:28 says, Thou shalt decree a thing and it shall be established. The VOICE translation says it like this: You will pronounce something to be, and He will make it so; light will break out across all of your paths.

In keeping with the theme of our words, Proverbs 18:21 NIRV says: Your tongue has the power of life and death. Those who love to talk will eat the fruit of their words.

The Message translation says it like this: Words kill, words give life, they’re either poison or fruit — you choose.

Now as a person who loves to talk and often got in trouble at school for talking at the wrong time, I have learned to make sure I am producing fruit with my words, not poison.

What kind of fruit are you producing with your words?

Yesterday during my evening prayer time, the Holy Spirit said this to me: You know how talkative I made you? That was for My Glory! That was for you to talk to Me. You will help others have more conversations with Me.

Y’all I was smiling so hard. Why? Because I was in a conversation with my Father God and He was giving me vision for the purpose that He placed on the inside of me when He created me. So many of us don’t know our purpose and it may be because you’re not spending enough time with the Father. That was the other thing He told me. He said, Talk to Me MORE!

Y’all I can go on and on and on when talking to my friends or my folks, and even y’all (when I do long podcasts) and the Lord is like…hey, I gave you that Gift of Gab, so talk to Me more with it! LOL!

How did I turn what the Holy Spirit said into practical steps? I obeyed. He told me to have more set times where He and I talk. So I set alarms in my phone to talk to Him more. Y’all He told me exactly what to add!! So I did it right then and there. Urgent obedience!

Now my phone will ring like an old school phone when it’s my appointment time with Holy Spirit.

Jesus is calling!

Hello!

Ohhh my goodness, that one word of HELLO to Jesus, will change everything!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
