Only Believe and You Will See My Plan Fon

Only Believe!

Those were the words I heard AGAIN this morning.

I went to the Word of God to look for the scripture that had those two words. It was Mark 5:36.

But Jesus paid no attention to what the men said. He said to the synagogue ruler, “Don’t be afraid; only believe.” — Mark 5:36 ICB

Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing. — Mark 5:36 AMPC

I knew God was telling me that my job is to ONLY BELIEVE…not try to figure it out or work it out or use my strength to solve any issues. He has been conversing with me for the last few days about faith and just like in this bible verse, Jesus is telling me to keep on believing. Some translations say keep the faith or just keep trusting.

What I have noticed is that God always gives me the word I need BEFORE I need it, then when I need it most, He keeps reminding me of it. That’s a pattern I have noticed in my conversations with God. What patterns have you picked up on in your conversations with God?

So before I read that scripture this morning, I was talking to Holy Spirit about a situation and I was asking Him what to do. I didn’t hear Him say what to do…at that moment. But right when I went to find the scripture after I heard Him say: Only Believe, I kept on reading. Then I landed in Mark 6 and it was verses 11 that seemed familiar. It was familiar because I had actually heard it before I grabbed my Bible, but I didn’t want to HEAR THAT, so I moved past it. But God brought it right back to me IN HIS WORD!

If any place won’t welcome you or listen to your message, leave and shake the dust from your feet as a warning to them.” — Mark 6:11 CEV

“If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.” Mark 6:11 MSG

See I had heard the Lord say you may just have to move on, but I didn’t want to hear that. I wanted the plans to work out. But here the Lord was telling me that I will have to shake the dust off my feet as I leave!!!!

I told the Lord in the conversation that I didn’t really want that. Of course when I said that, I read in my study notes from an unrelated verse: God’s plan is perfect and brings Him more glory than our plans would.

That’s when I heard Holy Spirit say: When your plans don’t seem to be working, shake it off quickly and seek My Plans. I know the plans I have for you!

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. — Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

And with that…I surrendered my plans. I will just have faith, just trust, and only believe, that God has the BEST PLAN FOR ME, the one that gives Him ALL THE GLORY!

P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
