Preparation Precedes Blessings Fon

This morning I prayed in the bed and guess what else? I fell asleep while praying, not once but several times. And before that, I was singing and fell asleep. But when I woke back up, I started singing again. LOL! Saturday mornings are certainly different with my Father God and I love it! We had that awesome pillow talk too. You talk about a cozy morning…I just love it!!!

I thank the Lord for all the ways He gives me signs and wonders, especially when that feeling of “not enough” or “not exact” tries to rise up. Yall know I be struggling sometimes when I don’t get out the bed to pray. God knows this. So this morning, guess what He did to reassure me that His presence was right there in the bed with me? He showed me the same scripture twice!

So in my prayer time, Holy Spirit was talking to me about preparation. I went online seeking scriptures on my phone regarding preparation. And I ran across Psalm 5:3 and I copied and pasted it into my notes on my phone. I didn’t have my journal in the bed with me. I shared the scripture plus some of what God said to me with my prayer group. We post for accountability every morning to show our commitment to daily morning prayer.

When I opened my journal this morning as I sat at my desk with my blueberry coffee (yep, I am trying something new and it’s good too), the scripture at the top of the page was Psalm 5:3!!!!!!

Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3 NLT

Now what’s interesting is how this scripture was in a link that talked about preparation. It stood out to me because it didn’t really have the word preparation in it, but it resonated with me because I DID want the Lord to listen to my voice this morning, even though I was in the bed and had fallen asleep a few times during prayer.

When I saw the scripture in my journal, that was Him letting me know…I heard you.

But I bet you want to know what He said to me about preparation don’t you! He said: Be prepared for what is already yours. I am preparing you for what’s already yours.

So I went looking for scripture about what He said and that’s when I found the scripture above, along with this one:

1 Corinthians 2:9

but just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Then as I delved more into the link that had these scriptures, I saw this: Preparation Precedes Blessings

I immediately had this thought: Procrastination prevents preparation and the enemy doesn’t want you to receive all that God has for you so he tries hard to distract you from preparation.

If you find yourself only thinking about preparing but not actually taking the steps to prepare, then pause and pray and ask God to remove distractions. Then make some bold faith moves of preparation!

Preparing for something you can’t even see yet is often uncomfortable and it requires faith to do it because God is telling you to do. We must trust God and move in faith as we prepare for the things that are ALREADY OURS!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
