There are somethings that I have been praying for. I have seen some of the prayers answered, but some of them, I have seen what seems opposite of my prayer request happening. Does it affect me? Yes. I would be lying if I said it didn’t affect me at all. Even though my prayer life is consistent, I still sometimes find myself discouraged by unanswered prayers. But I don’t stay in that place of discouragement. All I have to do is start praising the Lord and I get pulled right on up out of that space. That’s exactly what happened in the prayer closet this morning. And I was also super sleepy. I mean sluggishly super sleepy. I didn’t go to be too too late, but I woke up like I had been sleeping under a heavy blanket at my Big Momma house. LOL! You know the kind that doesn’t allow you to move much while you’re sleep.

So what did my Lord God say to me this morning? He encouraged me. He said, “Sometimes you will see things opposite of what I said will happen, but don’t be discouraged. Keep praying and keep seeking Me. Don’t take your eyes off of me. Go back and read what I said in your journal. Trust what I said. You WILL see it the way I said it would be. Remember I said don’t be swayed by what you see. SEE ME, don’t look at them. Man disappoints, but I never will. Don’t get weary. It’s coming.

Then later on in my prayer time, I heard these three words:

  1. REfresh

  2. REset

  3. REstoration

I know that the promises of My Lord and Savior are YES and Amen!! This I do know. But I pray that my transparency through this blog encourages you to know that you may feel some kind of way like I did this morning when I thought about a situation that hasn’t manifested to what God said YET! But as I am sharing this with you, I have to acknowledge that the situation is not where it was, even though it’s not fully where it’s gonna be. And thank God for His grace, because I am not fully where I am gonna be either, but I definitely ain’t where I used to be. Praise God for that! See that’s encouraging right there. When you look at an unanswered prayer, look and see what God has already done in that area. I can almost guarantee you have seen SOME MOVEMENT!

God is doing some major things in this season. And we must live a repented life so that we can experience the refreshing that He has for us. We can experience that total reset back to our default (the way He created us), so that we can experience His full restoration.

I don’t know about you, but just doing this blog and podcast has lifted me even higher. Keeping my eyes stayed on Jesus and my mouth filled with praise for Who He is…pushes all discouragement out the way.

Praise Him:

  1. You’re King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  2. You’re My Savior Lord.

  3. You’re my redeemer Lord

  4. You’re my restorer Lord

  5. You’re my waymaker Lord.

  6. You’re my promise keeper Lord.

  7. You’re my strong tower Lord.

  8. You’re my healer Lord.

  9. You’re my source Lord.

  10. You’re my provider Lord.

When you begin to open your mouth and praise the Lord, there is no way doubt, discouragement, fear, or discontentment can stick around. Open your mouth and say out loud WHO HE IS and watch as praise pushes discouragement out and encouragement in!

Hearts and Hugs!!
