Remaining Consistent in Changing Seasons Fon

Lately I have been feeling a bit more relaxed than my usual “get up and go” to the prayer closet. This morning it was just like that...again. I started talking to God as soon as my worship music alarm went off. My feet had not even hit the floor yet. My TV was still on from last night and a video of Dr. Cindy Trimm was playing. As I spoke to God and thanked Him for WHO He is, I heard Dr. Cindy Trimm say something that got my attention. At first, I was like, I should get up and go on to the prayer closet. But what she said resonated with me at that moment so much, that I grabbed my phone to jot it down in my notes. Right after I did that, I heard the still-small voice of God speak to me and I realized something: God can use whatever he wants to deliver messages to us, and as our loving father who KNOWS US best, He delivers answers to prayers in ways we can recognize it. He doesn’t make it complicated for us to see His provision.

He said to me this morning:

You don’t have to come up with it on your own, I will always provide. You asked for wisdom and I am giving it to you. Never get so caught up in the religiosity of prayer that you negate the relational dynamic of it. Yes it took you having structure to become disciplined but our relationship is deep enough now where you can talk to me wherever and hear me through whatever source I use, including my voice. Notice that you can hear me when you write. When you are in position to capture what I say, that’s when I speak because I don’t want you to miss it. I am extraordinary. That means I won’t do it how I have ordinarily done it. I am doing a new thing. You’re in a different season and there is a different way I am speaking to you in this season. Flow with Me. The last season is over.  This season requires a new level of hearing. Don’t be distracted by old ways.

As my relationship with Holy Spirit deepens, I am learning that there is a level of vulnerable comfortability that starts to rise up, and at first, you’re not sure what to make of it. But letting go and letting God is always the best way to handle it. That’s what I did this morning and look at what I was able to document of my conversation.

God is definitely doing a new thing.  And I am reminded that nothing else matters more than my relationship with Him.

God concluded that conversation with this: Have faith Fon, but don’t focus more on the blessing than the blesser!

I knew exactly what He meant too. It’s not about me getting back to the same ole routine of prayer that got me into this amazing prayer lifestyle. It’s about me getting back to that level of uninterrupted focus on WHO I am praying to, not what I am praying for.

Be encouraged today to flow with the Father. Seasons change, but He never does. He is the same yesterday, today and forever more! Hebrews 13:8.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 GNT

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
