Resist the Devil with Scripture and Obedience to God

Did the month of May have too many attacks from the enemy? Did you feel like the more you tried to live right, the more the enemy came at you? Like the more you prayed against something, the more that something showed up (and not in the way you had been praying for it)?
This morning the Holy Spirit and I talked about how to resist these attacks from the enemy. Before I even got out of bed, I was thinking of the word freedom. I don’t know if it’s because today is Memorial Day, but the thought I had was scripture: So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free. — John 8:36 AMP
Yesterday I had also been feeling like this month was a kinda tough. I was questioning if I had given God my all this month. I felt tired a lot this month, but I kept pushing through each day. I didn’t wake up on time a lot and I just felt like I wasn’t operating at 100%. I mean you got the blogcast everyday and some times I even shared about it (of course if me and Holy Spirit talked about it). But on this last day of the month, I have this resolve for next month to be better! I want to pray even more fervently than I do now.
Last night during prayer, I was talking to the Holy Spirit about all my feelings and how I felt like I wasn’t doing my best. He quickly let me know that my feelings are not my faith! Y’all that blessed me and energized me all at the same time. I was like…okaaaaaaay then! We literally be allowing our feelings to dictate our thoughts and actions. Or actually our thoughts dictate our feelings.
While studying in Matthew this morning, I read in one of the Q&A sections of my bible that our goal is to use God’s Word to shape our thoughts and the thoughts of others, to bring them in alignment with God’s perspective.
I started thinking about how much we say the enemy attacks us and how the devil is busy and how we just let be allowing him to wreak havoc over our whole day or even month (sometimes longer). The devil wants us to act independently of God. And he will even use our religion to do so per Matthew 4:6 when he quoted scripture to Jesus. The devil directs his temptations to us according to what we are up to. Just like he knew Jesus was hungry after a 40 day fast, he knows that you’ve said you want to commit or recommit to God. You want to have a relationship with Holy Spirit and talk to Him about everything. So the enemy will use specific temptations that will try to keep you from doing what you said. The enemy wants to make you question who you are.
So how do we stop Satan?
Just like Jesus did! Read Matthew 4:1-11 today.
We are to resist the devil with the Word of God and in our obedience to God’s Word, and then the devil will flee from you.
As Christians we have no obligation to the devil. We have Jesus’s delegated authority against Satan. Using scripture while implementing it through our actions gains us the authority for victory in the spiritual realm!
My favorite verse out of all in today’s study was Matthew 4:11. It says:
Then the devil left Him, and angels came and began to serve him. — Matthew 4:11 CSB
There are angels waiting at the ready for us. They have already been briefed on our assignment and sent to bless us. We just have to resist Satan with scripture and apply scripture to our lives, then the devil will leave us alone too.
Sick of Satan messing with you and your family? Sic some scripture on his tale! Be obedient to God. He ain’t got no choice but to LEAVE YOU ALONE!
Let’s use our spiritual authority for June and the rest of the year! And let’s stop giving Satan any more credit. He don’t have more weight than the Word of God!
P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
