Review Is Good Fon

Here we are again and I am thankful to God for another day to live a purposeful life, but I got to be honest with you…I have been feeling like one of those phone batteries that never get fully charged. You know what I mean? My kids are always charging their phones WHILE watching YouTube and I tell them that it can’t charge fully or faster when it’s still in use.

My goodness, the Holy Spirit is talking to me right now as I write this blog post! I can’t fully charge when I am still in use. I can’t rest fully and recharge WHILE still watching YouTube. The funny thing is, I don’t mean that metaphorically at all. I watch things to help me grow in my assignments on YouTube!!!! The Lord is saying right now, that is why I am not fully charged up. I am falling asleep trying to learn something new.

Yesterday He told me not to go backwards and He is showing me this right here and right now…this late learning when I should be sleep, is why I am not full charged up in the morning. Are my assignments getting done? Yes! But am I feeling energized when I do them? Definitely not!

Holy Spirit also revealed to me this morning that I should not go backwards in my finances. He said, “Don’t go back to old habits that didn’t serve you well.” You see, I used to be very diligent about my finances when I first started hearing from God. I had to be. It was how He transformed me from being a not-so-good steward of my resources to track-every-penny kind of steward over my resources. And I know for a fact that God won’t bless those who can’t handle or steward the blessings for His glory. So if your money is funny, it’s because your stewardship skills are comical and you may have to do like I did and get serious about them.

Okay, so what did the Holy Spirit say to me in my conversation with Him this morning?

He said these words:

  • Re-read

  • Re-fresh

  • Re-give

  • Re-build - I am rebuilding you.

  • Re-view - Review is good.

  • The assignment is to Re-view.

  • Re-see what I said.

  • Re-see-it THEN Re-ceive-it

  • Re-lax - I AM working it all out.

  • Set aside review time.

He also told me later in the conversation: pulling back to spring forth further. Now I am not sure exactly what that means specifically, but I know that means there will be a pull back that will spring me forth and I will go further because of the pulling back!

I got to be honest with you all. I have been wondering if I should take a week off from the blog and podcast. I have never done that, so the responsible part of me is like noooooo, but there is a part of me that feels like I need to RE-set! Wow! Right now I am hearing from the Holy Spirit as I write. I have been feeling this desire to take a break, but I never want to break from the assignment unless the Holy Spirit tells me.

The first words He said were Re-read. As I have thought about taking a break, I thought about you all using that time to re-read some of the previous posts. WOW! It’s like the very thing I was thinking I needed to pray about more, the Holy Spirit is answering me in real time on this blog!! I just considered how I would do it, and the word RE-RUN just dropped in my Spirit!!! Just like the tv shows would do re-runs as they prepared new seasons or during the off season!!!

See the part that keeps trying to trip me up is that I have never taken a break. But I hear the Holy Spirit saying, it’s okay Fon. It’s okay for you and them to re-read, be re-freshened, be re-vived, so that I can re-build. It’s okay to pull back so that I can spring you forth even further!

WOW!

What’s soooooo wild about this y’all is that you’re seeing how my conversations with the Holy Spirit go in real time!! What’s also wild is that I wrote these words in my journal this morning: Daily Online Devotional. On Assignment by God is a daily online devotional blog and podcast centered around my daily conversations with God.

I truly believe that in this moment right now, the Holy Spirit is saying for me to re-read what HE JUST SAID TO ME THIS MORNING! RE-SEE-IT then RE-CEIVE-IT!!

I am in awe of God right now!

The Holy Spirit just said: Let me help you.

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. John 14:26 AMPC

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
