Same God Fon

Listen to the podcast version of this blog.

Everyday won’t be the same, but trust and believe that I am the same God yesterday, today, and forever more (Hebrews 13:8). Keep pressing into Me even more. Keep worshiping Me. Keep praying. Nothing can separate you from My love. Be persistent in your faith.

On this early Friday morning, I come to you today on the blog and podcast to simply share what the Lord said to me this morning. He said everyday won’t be the same and I think I get caught up in wanting to having similar experiences. You know what I mean? Those encounters that leave me sitting in awe of God. Those times where I have cried so much my nostrils are stopped up. Those times where everywhere I turned around confirmation after confirmation.

But today, I didn’t feel any of those things. I prayed in the Spirit. I worshiped. I read my Word. When I went to share in my 1 Hour Prayer Challenge group though, the Holy Spirit spoke to me through others. One person said miracles happen everyday and that we sit amongst miracles and don’t even know it. Another person commented that when they feel like they are not hearing from God, they keep worshiping. And the comments and encouraging words from the Lord kept going.

God uses people (when we allow Him) to speak a word of encouragement to us. Just like He said to me the other day…ALLOW ME. Sometimes I go into the prayer closet expecting similarities from the previous day and the Holy Spirit is saying, Allow Me, the same God, to offer you a variety of experiences. I have so much more for you. There are people who I am giving a word just for you!

That’s what I noticed He said too in the Deuteronomy 18 for the Scriptural Bible Study. He said this in verse 18: I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. Today, I believe the Holy Spirit raised up some people to share a word from Him to me, using them. And the other thing I got from reading God’s word is that we aren’t supposed to be listening to just any old body either; especially not fortune tellers, mediums, or spiritist.

In verses 10-12, it clearly states we are not to be practicing divination which is an attempt to get secret knowledge through omens or astrology. We ain’t supposed to be reading no horoscopes, listening to no fortune tellers, mediums, or spiritist (which involves the attempt to get in touch with spiritual intermediaries by contacting the dead or inquiring of the dead). We are definitely not to be practicing witchcraft, holding any seances, playing with Ouija boards, voodoo…none of that stuff. Everyone who does these acts is detestable to the Lord (verses 10-12). The Lord has not permitted us to do any of this.

And I love how God gave a measuring stick in his Word about listening to prophets because in today’s world so many people have said they were speaking from God but weren’t. In verse 22 it says this: When a prophet speaks in the Lord’s name, and the message does not come true or is not fulfilled, that is a message the Lord has NOT spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.

Every day won’t be the same, says the Lord, but know that I AM the same yesterday, today, and forever more.

I’ll wrap up with this scripture: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. John 10:27-29

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more, but He can use anyone to get a message to you. Don’t miss God because you’re expecting Him to deliver the same way every time. Focus on His voice, not the vessel He uses.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
