Sustainer
Do you recognize who is really sustaining you each and every day? It’s not your job, your money, your possessions, your hustle, or your prowess. It’s God. He is our sustainer.
Young lions lack food and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing. — Psalms 34:10 CSB
But those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing. Let that part of the scripture just marinate in your mind. Meditate on that word. I am talking to myself and you just happen to be eavesdropping in on the conversation.
Speaking of conversation, me and Holy Spirit had a talk this morning. He reassured me of a few things. I think worry tried to creep it’s way into the closet this morning. What I have found out is that is it much easier to say we trust the Lord when things are sitting pretty and looking full. You know what I mean. When your bank account looks nice. When your situation is set up nice and pretty.
It’s when you don’t know how or when God will do it again, that you allow worry to creep in. And we all know it don’t come in loudly. It’s a subtle thing. You check the account and it’s decreasing more than it’s increasing. Unexpected (and expected) bills come. Things that you thought would work out one way aren’t quite stacking up. You’ve endured a few setbacks.
But all of this is simply God setting us up to depend and rely on Him to sustain us.
This was our conversation this morning:
I didn’t bring you THIS FAR to leave you hanging. I know everything you need. I know everything you want. It’s already yours. Patience Fon. Be patient in the process for the promise. Though it may seem delayed, wait for it. Remember this. I am bigger than everything that is trying to seep into your mind as big. Nothing. No thing, is bigger than Me. Nothing, No thing, is more mighty than Me. You seek Me, I sustain you!
Take delight in the Lord and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act, making your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday. Be silent before the Lord and wait expectantly for him; do not be agitated by one who prospers in his way, by the person who carries out evil plans— Psalms 37:4-7 CSB
Dr. Tony Evans encouraged me this morning in the study notes section of the Bible as it relates to Psalms 37:4. He said: You can expect God’s movement in your life when your thinking and desires match his. He desires to bless you more than you want to be blessed.
Let us be encouraged today to match our desires with the Lord, who sustains us as we seek Him first every single day.
P.S. I just love my Conversations With God! Don’t you?

SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
