Will You Trust the Ultimate Planner?

God’s Word.

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

“I know all the plans.” ~ Holy Spirit

In every one of our lives, we have had to make some plans. First as children, we followed the plans of our parents. Which you know what? That’s evidence that our lives haven’t always been under our control. Hmmm.

God set it up to where we would have to depend on our mothers, fathers, and grandparents, because we did not know everything. We were not grown. Our parents had plans for us. They taught us discipline and how to submit to their authority. Let that sink in. You weren’t grown enough to make choices on your own. You were under the authority and plans of someone bigger than you. Think about that.

So tell me why is it that as adults, we think we are too grown to follow our heavenly Father’s authority and plans? He is bigger than us. He knows the plans per Jeremiah 29:11, but yet we still want to ACT as if we haven’t been prepped for this since birth. You were born to be obedient to the plans of God.

This morning as I was praying, I surrendered my plans. I do this almost every day during prayer because I never want to get ahead of God (been there, done that, and it wasn’t that good). I never want to be operating on my own agenda when God, the PLANNER, knows ALL the plans.

Let’s go back to when we were kids. Our parents would plan our day. They would decide if we would go to the park or something fun. They decided that school was not an option. Some of our parents decided that church was not an option either. Our parents were in charge of us.

Fast forward to today. You’re a parent. You make plans for your children. You decide if you’re taking them to the park. You let them know school is not an option. Some of you decide that church is not an option either. Many of us actually repeat our parent’s plans because those are the ones we know (hmmm, interesting). We have set our lives up to follow theirs. Now I know some of us have strayed from our parents’ plans, especially if our parents weren’t so good at parenting or if we think we know better than they know. Some of us have ventured beyond the way we were brought up to a better plan, and we expect our children to submit to our plans, right? And when they don’t, we discipline them. Why? Because we know how important it is for their life to follow our plans. We KNOW more than them!

Let that sink in.

As you fill your Saturday with your plans for the day, consider this…God knows ALL THE PLANS for you, your children, your parents, and everybody! Why not submit to His plan? I pray today that you do. Our plans can only go so far because we don’t have full knowledge of what’s to come. We can only MAKE plans. God has already MADE the plans and seen out it ends. Would you trust a person who is simply talking about what they plan to do, or would you trust the person who has already proven themselves to be a master planner?

The Holy Spirit reminded me to TRUST HIS PLAN. TRUST HIS DELAYS. TRUST HIM PERIOD. HE KNOWS THE PLANS!

Check out the questions for today and answer them in your journal.

Pray. Listen. Write. Obey.
