It’s Friday and the 2nd day of a new month. As I was praying this morning, I asked the Holy Spirit to grow my heavenly language. I had a desire to go higher and do more in my prayer time. Guess what? He did just that!

I had Maverick City Music playing today during my worship time. Matter of fact, as I write this, it is still in fact playing. There are so many songs they sing that really speak to my Spirit, allows me to worship in Spirit, praise in Spirit, and just be more present in the Spirit.

Today, I prayed, I listened, I worshiped, I sang, and gave God my first moments of the day. I heard myself say you are a waymaker. I thank you for this day, a day that I have never ever seen before. You are a DAYMAKER! It was in that moment that I got “happy” as they say in the baptist church. LOL! I felt that! But y’all know you can’t base your time on your feelings, but flesh won’t always feel it. That’s why you got to pray in the Spirit. But that daymaker y’all got me! He made this day. Not you. Not your calendar. This is the day that the Lord has made! He is a DAYMAKER! He makes your day…literally and figuratively!!! That gets me hype in a way that makes me want to shout Hallelujah!!

So today, for the Scriptural Bible Study, we moved into chapter 4 of Deuteronomy. I actually read the Word this morning from my phone’s Youversion app, and I highlighted all the verses that Holy Spirit highlighted to me. These are the verses from the CEV translation by which Holy Spirit spoke to me today:

• And now he is your God. I am telling you everything he has commanded, so don’t add anything or take anything away. (Verse 2).

• You must be very careful not to forget the things you have seen God do for you. Keep reminding yourselves, and tell your children and grandchildren as well. (Verse 9)

• Do you remember the day you stood in the Lord’s presence at Mount Sinai? The Lord said, “Moses, bring the people of Israel here. I want to speak to them so they will obey me as long as they live, and so they will teach their children to obey me too.” (Verse 10).

• When God spoke to you from the fire, he was invisible. So be careful not to commit the sin of worshiping idols. Don’t make idols to be worshiped, whether they are shaped like men, women, animals, birds, reptiles, or fish. And when you see the sun or moon or stars, don’t be tempted to bow down and worship them. The Lord put them there for all the other nations to worship. But YOU are the Lord’s people, because he rescued you from Egypt, that fiery furnace. (Verses 15-19)

• In all of your troubles, you may finally decide that you want to worship only the Lord. AND IF YOU TURN BACK TO HIM AND OBEY HIM COMPLETELY, He will again be your God. The Lord your God will have mercy— he won’t destroy you or desert you. The Lord will remember his promise, and he will keep the agreement he made with your ancestors. (Verse 29-30). The last part of this verse went right in alignment with the song I heard this morning by Maverick City Music, called “Man of Your Word.” Woo Weee!!!

• The Lord wants you to know he is the only true God, and he wants you to obey him. That’s why he let you see his mighty miracles and his fierce fire on earth, and why you heard his voice from that fire and from the sky. (Verse 35-36).

• So remember that the Lord is the only true God, whether in the sky above or on the earth below. Today I am explaining his laws and teachings. And if you always obey them, you and your descendants will live long and be successful in the land the Lord IS GIVING YOU!

Do you see how studying the word of God can show you exactly how to live? We are not to worship idols of any kind. No celebrities, no man, no woman, no animals, no stars, sun, moon…none of that!! The Lord wants us to worship Him and live in obedience. Even when we get off track, the Lord has said, IF YOU TURN BACK TO HIM and OBEY HIM COMPLETELY, He will AGAIN be your God.

Today, be encouraged with that word to turn back to Him. Our Father God is patient with us. He shows us His mercy every day as a DAYMAKER! He gave you today to make the choice to do life His way. Turn back to God every day, every hour, every minute, every second. When we do, we can stand on his promise that we will live long and be successful in the land He is giving us!!!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
