This morning my alarm went off. I opened my eyes and then pretty much shut them right back! Now this would have been fine if 50 plus women weren’t waiting on my Wake Up and Pray text message!!! I jumped up! I was like,,,OMG OMG OMG! I looked at the time and it was prayer time. I always tell them not to post during the prayer time, but here I was about to post during the prayer time. I didn’t overthink it. I posted the scripture, the praise song, apologized and begin singing! I already knew that the enemy was coming for my recovering perfectionist buttons this morning and I had to shut him down. I heard myself laughing in the Spirit and I knew the Holy Spirit was interceding on my behalf and laughing in the enemy’s face!

See what the enemy wanted me to focus on was that I caused people not to wake up and pray, but what the Holy Spirit said was: They have been doing this for 5 weeks already…they don’t really “need” her to wake them up. They have built a relationship with ME and I already got them up and they are already praying!! Praise the Lord!!! When I looked at the groupme text, I saw several people who stepped up and posted! What the enemy meant for evil, God TURNED AROUND! And the Lord showed the group that they can do it without Me. I don’t have to be their prayer “wing woman.” They are operating fully already and we are at a point of simply praying together as one and holding each other accountable! Praise the Lord! Can’t stop, won’t stop!

During the Scriptural Surprise this morning, I read Ecclesiastes chapter 11. Of course, verse 2 stood out. Why? Because I had just studied and discussed this very verse with one of my life groups. Now let me show yall how the Holy Spirit works. In my life group, it was the New International Version that we focused our attention on. It says, Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land. (Eccl 11:2 NIV). So in the life group, we talked about 8 ways to diversify our gifts or 8 different ways we can make money from our gifts! And you know we make money so we can bless others right?

Okay stay with me now as the old preachers say, I am going somewhere. Now the Lord took me right to this verse again this morning. So I read it. Now mind you, I don’t have anything but this scripture written in my journal when I came out the prayer closet. Oh yeah, I did have the Hope Words from that chapter of the bible written down which says: Start where you are and do what you can. Then watch God open doors. So again, I came out the closet with only that. I was like Lord, speak to me.

But then, the Holy Spirit laid it on my heart to reach out to one of the ladies in the prayer group because she had posted that she had been robbed my gun point last night! But praise God she wasn’t harmed. They stole her purse with her keys but praise God she was not harmed. God covered her. Weapons WILL form, but they WON’T prosper!!! So I called her and she didn’t answer. I sat down to hear from God and do the blog. She called me back. We talked. She was still shaken up and had not gotten any sleep. I prayed for her, but then the Lord laid it on my heart to bless her monetarily. Then He laid it on my heart to see if anyone else in the group wanted to join with me.

Now I am getting to the part! Okay. So she didn’t ask me for anything, but she was telling me that she had to get her license redone, change her bank cards, get locks rekeyed, get new key for her car, etc etc. She didn’t ask for anything but prayers. But I heard in my Spirit the verse that talks about not just praying for people but helping them in their time of need. That’s James 2: 14-17:

Faith in Action

14-17 Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, “Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!” and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense? James 2: 14-17 MSG

So I sent out the message to all the ladies in the group! Okay, still didn’t have a clue what this blog would be about. But I know when I get in position, Holy Spirit will use me. So I went back to the scripture in Ecclesiastes 11:2 and I looked it up in my YouVersion app on my phone for a different translation. Y’all!!! Hold your coffee mugs and put your seat belt on. The EASY translation of Ecclesiastes 11:2 said: You do not know when you will need help. So, if seven or eight people need money, give it to them!!!!!!!

My God My God My God!!! Y’all I am rushing through this blog to get it done so you can be reading it on time, but listen, when you allow Holy Spirit to just run your life completely, this is what can happen! Yes, being on my assignment to this blog and to my prayer group is important, but also God can thrown in another assignment in the midst and He will give you everything you need to accomplish it. Remember the Hope Words I saw in the Scriptural Surprise of Ecclesiastes right? It said: start where you are and do what you can, then watch God open doors!

The doors of the church are open!!!

I got to go ya’ll so I can record the audio and publish this blog and podcast!

But before I go remember, God will provide everything you need! Stay on assignment. Talk to him about everything. And most importantly, just be obedient! He got it all worked out…ALREADY!!!

Hearts and Hugs!!
