It’s Saturday and today I have been all over my house shouting the name of Jesus. Each and every room. Saturdays are usually the times that I take the prayer closet and set up shop in every room of the house. I go all over the house praising the Lord and praying, sometimes in tongues and sometimes in my natural voice. I pretty much just do whatever Holy Spirit leads me to do.
This morning after I did my prayer tour all over the house, I then grabbed a cup of coffee and sat at my dining room table with my Bible, my Journal, my pen, and my highlighter. My windows in the dining room were open to let the sunlight in and I just sat and read and wrote. You don’t have to be a writer to take notes. You don’t have to be a writer to write what you hear the Holy Spirit saying to you. Just thought I should say that for the person who’s thinking, “well I’m not a writer.” I just made it easy for you. You don’t have to be.
I opened my Bible to Psalms and read quite a bit. I read from chapters 108 - 112. And here’s how Holy Spirit spoke to me this morning. I felt like I was a student and He was my teacher.
Hallelujah bestows praise and honor to Me. (Psalms 111:1)
Fearing Me is about how you live your life, not merely what you say. (Psalms 112:1)
To be wise is to have a clear understanding of how to obey My commands in specific situations.
Hallelujah! Give praise, servants of the Lord; praise the name of the Lord. Let the name of the Lord be blessed both now and forever. From the rising of the sun to its setting, let the name of the Lord be praise. Psalms 113:1-3 CSB
As God’s people, we have an obligation to continually praise enthusiastically His greatness. That means we have a duty or a commitment to repeatedly praise God and go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about his greatness.
Psalms 34: 1 says: I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
What’s in your mouth continually? What’s in my mouth continually? Ask yourself the question and then write down the answers.
Is it curse words that’s continually in your mouth? Is it food that’s continuously in your mouth? Is it negativity that’s continually in your mouth? Is it gossip? Is it somebody else’s name or an organization that you always are talking about and putting before God (is idolatry in your mouth)? Is it food (yeah I know I said food already but I am asking again because we tend to eat so much when God is calling us to fast or push away from the table and spend time with Him). Is it alcohol continually? Is it legal or illegal drugs continually? You always need to take something or drink something to knock the edge off. I know that used to be my story. Is it music lyrics that’s continually in your mouth? Is it doubt, fear, unbelief, hopelessness, or despair always in your mouth?
What is in your mouth the most? What is repeatedly in your mouth?
Repent and put praise in your mouth…on continuous rotation.
P.S. Be sure to press play above & listen to each episode as I always go deeper on the audio version.
