When God Says It, Do It!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

This is the day that the Lord has made, I am rejoicing and glad in it! I am super excited about this week as I get to attend a conference at a church that I believe has really helped me to grow spiritually. I had crazy faith for the opportunity to even attend the conference because of my after-school parental responsibilities, but I prayed about it and God answered my prayer! He set things up in a way that I knew it was Him who did it, and I am so thankful for it! The kids will be well taken care of, and I get to go and be apart of something major that I believe the Lord is doing at Transformation Church! Woo Hoo!! So I will be blogging a few days from a different location. But hey, God already prepared me for that when my computer wasn’t operable, and I had to blog from my phone! God always prepares us for what He has called us to do.

This morning, the scriptural surprise came from Matthew 2. Get your bibles out so you can read it. One of the main points that stood out to me in this chapter was the importance of hearing from the Lord and following directions. I heard the Holy Spirit say to me this morning: Your protection, provision, and purpose are all tied to your urgent obedience.

See King Herod wanted to kill baby Jesus so twice the angel of the Lord appeared in dreams. First it was to the wise men when the angel told them not to go back and tell King Herod where baby Jesus was. And secondly, when the angel of the Lord told Joseph in a dream to get out of Bethlehem and flee to Egypt. When King Herod found out, he had all the babies under age 2 killed. See he was trying to kill Jesus but didn’t know where he was because the wise men were obedient and didn’t tell him; and Joseph was immediately obedient by fleeing Bethlehem!

Again, I heard the Holy Spirit say:

Your protection, provision, and purpose are all tied to your urgent obedience.

When God tells us to do something, it is best for us to do it. The Holy Spirit said if you do what I say, when I say it, all will go as “I” planned it to go. See every time the angel of the Lord appeared in a dream and gave a message, it fulfilled prophecy. I don’t know about you, but I would rather do what God says because He knows the beginning, middle, and end of everything going on with me. So if He tells me to go left and I go right, I could be putting myself in a situation that He never intended for me to be in!

God is saying: Trust me when I give instructions because it’s all part of a bigger plan…My Master Plan. I care about every little detail of your plan too, even the stuff you think is too small to talk to me about. I want to hear about it all.

That’s why it is so important to talk to God about everything, even the smallest of things. He loves us SO MUCH and cares about everything going on with us…even stuff like attending conferences or the cough and headache that’s bothering you. He wants to heal you, comfort you, deliver you, and give you peace about whatever situation you’re in.

Today, let’s be encouraged to do what God says do, when He says do it. I have peace knowing that I am right where God wants me to be because this is where He told me to be. I am protected. I have what I need. I am living on purpose. Amen!
