He Wants It All

He Wants It All

Jesus replied, “This rule is the most important rule: Listen, everyone from Israel’s families. The Lord, our God, is the only Lord. You should love the Lord, your God completely: Love him with all your mind. Love him with all that you are. Love him in all that you think and all that you do.” Mark 12:29-30

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

Y’all know I just love Saturday mornings. It feels relaxing and so un-rushed. And yes I still wake up to pray for an hour from 5 a.m. - 6 a.m. (okay sometimes it’s like 5:04), but I pray for 1 hour, sometimes I go over, but yes, God is not just for weekends. And we can’t be weekday-only or weekend-only prayer warriors. We must pray every day. God needs us to pray.

Before I get into what God said to me this morning, I want to share how much I love my new life. I realized this morning while in prayer that I was literally only one decision away from THIS LIFE I am living right now. There were some things God had been telling me to get straight, I kept ignoring it, and life just wasn’t moving forward at all for me. Now I feel like I am in the fast lane and everything good is happening every single day. What did I do to get here? I finally surrendered and was obedient. I cut things that needed to be cut and I found a way to have a closer relationship with God by joining other like-minded people with the same desire (like my 1-Hour Prayer Challenge Group and my bookclub group). I always had the desire for a closer relationship with God, but I wasn’t willing to surrender ALL! But y’all today, He totally has all of me and I just love this new life. And it’s not just a feeling of true, unconditional love, it’s a KNOWING! See you think you know love, but you don’t know it until it becomes a KNOWING…that’s beyond a feeling.

This morning I asked God, what do you want me to write down, what do you want me to share, and what do you want me to do? When you ask God these questions, be ready with a pen and a pad for His answers.

Here’s what God said to me this morning:

  • My grace is sufficient. (Now in this new season of life, I don’t want to assume I know anything. So I looked up Grace. Here is the definition I found when it comes to God’s Grace. You can also read 2 Corinthians 12:9, where Jesus said to Paul, My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. Also here is another definition I found online.

Grace is the help or strength given through the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace is a gift from our Heavenly Father, given through his Son, Jesus Christ. The word grace, as used in the scriptures, refers primarily to enabling power and spiritual healing offered through the mercy and love of Jesus Christ. Source: Wikipedia

After God spoke to me about Grace, here is what else He said:

  • Let go ALL the way. Stop trying to control even the small parts. Let me have that too. I want it ALL. There is nothing you have done that I can’t forgive or nothing too small that I can’t help you with. Give it ALL to me.

  • You can always start over today. You don’t have to wait until you get it ALL together. I want you to give ALL that stuff you feel you need to work out or work on, to Me. Let Me complete a good work in you. Stop thinking you have to do it on your own, so you ca then say to Me, Look God, I did what you asked. I want to be with you the whole time you’re doing the assignment, so at the end, you will see that WE did it. You will do it but I am strengthening you the whole time you’re doing it. We will always work together.

  • I will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). You are not alone ever. Every task, every assignment, I am with you. Rest in that thought. Fall back and let me take the lead on ALL OF IT!

Now as I said above, in this new life, I want to get a better understanding of the Word and not just be saying scriptures and verses that I have heard my entire life growing up in church. I want to know more, so I had to look up the verse that says God will never leave you or forsake you, and I wanted to see how other translations defined forsake. So of course I went to the gangsta version…the Message (LOL). In the message Bible, Deuteronomy 31:6 says:

“Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 MSG

I am so thankful for this message today from the Prayer Closet. I a so glad God wants ALL OF IT and loves SO much that He doesn’t have any conditions on ALL my stuff.

I pray you will continue to get closer to God. Pray and listen to what He says to YOU. If I can hear Him, you can too. Just give it ALL to God!

Enjoy your Saturday!!
