Your Prayer Life!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

It’s Friday and I got a question for you. How often do you pray? Just answer it to yourself. As you know, my life completely changed when I started praying every morning consistently. I started with 15 minutes of prayer and each week increased my prayer time in 5 minute intervals (15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, plus). Each day, I noticed how much more peaceful I felt about my life. I used to stress about work, money, kids, love, food, family, traffic, bills, clients, friends, etc. I would have anxiety when I drove at night. I mean I felt my life just going in the wrong direction.

But when I started praying, everything started going in the right direction. The things I used to stress about were now things that I smiled about or had peace about. Of course bills didn’t stop coming, but through prayer, money wasn’t slipping through my fingers anymore. I got consistent with money management, something I could never quite get a grip on before. It was amazing! It was my prayer life!

My point in sharing this morning is that my prayer life changed MY WHOLE LIFE! I want to encourage you to wake up and pray in the morning. Do like I did and just start with 15 minutes. Would you be willing to do that?

One of the ways that I increased my knowledge about prayer is reading books on praying and praying in the spirit (something I did NOT learn through every Sunday church attendance). I am going to put together some resources that you can use as you begin this prayer life journey. I grew up in the church, but the knowledge I have gained in the last 6 months has helped me tremendously! So stay tuned for a resource tab on the website. WOW!! I just got super excited about this!! And I know it’s Holy Spirit led because I am allowing Him to write the blog (and this is not even in my journal to share with you)! Praise God!

Now, getting to what IS in my journal LOL! This morning the scriptural surprise came from Mark 10-11. The standout verses for me were:

• Mark 10: 29-34, 52

• Mark 11:6; 24

The verse that the Holy Spirit really highlighted and spoke to me was Mark 11:6

They said what Jesus had told them to say, and they were permitted to take it.” Mark 11:6 New Living Translation Bible

The Holy Spirit reminded me that: when I say what He tells me to say, I will be able to take whatever He told me to go and get with no issues! Whew! Y’all that’s a word for me right there!!!

Another part of scripture that I journaled was Mark 10:32, and I heard the Holy Spirit say, don’t go on any other paths, but only go on the one where I went before you! When Jesus and the disciples were on their way to Jerusalem, Jesus was walking ahead of them. Last month, I heard the Holy Spirit say He was clearing the path for me and I even had it confirmed through a prophetic word specifically spoken to me from a prophet that I had never met before. This morning’s reassurance was a simple reminder that there won’t be any obstacles on this path that He is taking me, because He has already gone ahead of me to clear them out of the way. So you know what that means right? If I run into an obstacle, I may have veered off the path and I need to immediately get back on the right path! Amen!

Other things that I heard when I journaled after praying in the Spirit:

• Double Portions.

• Don’t fall into traps.

• Billboard.

• Bunch of Courses.

• So much to do around here.

• Always get my permission.

• Redo.

• Practice listening more.

• I am going ahead of you.

• You will rise again.

• Your faith has made you whole.

• Instantly.

I know that the Holy Spirit will show me exactly what all this means (He’s already shown me what some of it means for me) or it may be meant for you. I am simply being obedient and sharing our conversations like He told me to do. I am praying, being obedient, trusting Him, and believing Him. I pray you are doing the same!

SALVATION PRAYER

If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
