Are You Seeking Jesus Christ?

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

This morning the I heard the word SEEK. The scripture that popped into my mind was Matthew 6:33. But I felt there was more to the word, so I sought out to BE the word. I started SEEKING to find out more about seeking. Stay with me, I am going somewhere.

Recently I have been binging watching every sermon I can to gain more wisdom and knowledge. I read my Bible everyday as you know through this blog (my scriptural surprises) and I have had it so strong in my heart just to want to know more and more about Jesus. I am made in His image, so I want to know more about me and since I was made in His image, I am seeking to know more about the image maker, which will help me learn more about me! So I seek Him through what I watch, what I listen to, etc. and I have noticed that the more I seek Him, the more I find, which led me to ask you, are you seeking Jesus Christ? If so, how are YOU seeking Him?

As I was praying this morning, I thought about how much I have learned recently about Jesus in all my seeking and how excited I am to share what I learn with my friends and family…almost immediately as I learn it. I am sending videos, text messages, YouTube links, Instagram links and everything to my friends and family. I want them to get this wisdom and knowledge that I am getting. I mean I be super excited too y’all. I be like, “hey______, did you watch that video I sent you? Or did you see that IG post I shared?” And to be quite honest, most people haven’t watch it….yet or they say nah, but I will definitely watch it. Now I ain’t gonna sit up here and lie, it kind of frustrates me a bit when they don’t watch it.

This morning, I decided to not get mad or frustrated any longer. There was a time when people may have shared things with me and I wasn’t in a place to receive it. But one thing I don’t remember is them continuing to share with me after I wasn’t receptive of it. I definitely don’t want to turn people off from me by trying to force anything down their throats, but I realized this morning that I will focus on my life being a reflection of my seeking. You may not click on the videos or watch what I suggest, but when you encounter me, you will subsequently SEE through me, what I have been SEEKING.

The scriptural surprise this morning came from Lamentations 2-3. The stand out verse was Lamentations 3:25. It says: “The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him and seek him.”

I challenge you this morning to SEEK the Kingdom of God. I challenge you to pray and have a relationship with Him where you seek Him first before you go looking for anything else. When you SEEK him, according to Matthew 6:33, and live righteously, He will give you everything you need.

SALVATION PRAYER

If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
