Today, I woke up with a pep in my step! I had the music playing and I was READY, you hear me. I was READ-TY! And when I wake up ready like that, I know the Holy Spirit is going to put me in the game as a STARTER!! Wait a minute y’all because I felt that thang just now! See, some of us can’t get put into the game yet because we are aren’t ready when I feet hit the floor! Come on Holy Spirit. See, we aren’t part of the starting line up! But thanks be to God that we can get there! I wasn’t always part of the starting line up, but this morning, when the Lord woke me up, I had this boldness that came over me and I was ready!
As I went into the prayer closet, I was moving the blanket. It wasn’t gonna be a cozy-up-with-Holy Spirit kinda morning today. I should have put the blanket on, just to take it off in grand style like a boxer who enters the ring staring down his opponent. Like yeah, I am about to….(okay okay okay, you get the point). It’s a bold move kind of day. Ya feel me? So as I prayed, I could hear the strength in my voice. Some mornings will be like this. Every morning won’t be like this though. But when you have these bold mornings, the Lord will begin to lay bold ideas, bold instructions, and bold thoughts on your mind! And your next move is to BE BOLD and take action immediately!
The Holy Spirit said to me this morning:
The same energy you put into others, put into your family! (Now I know that’s for me because sometimes I just pray for my family, especially when I feel like they aren’t where I am, but the Lord said, I want you to put that same energy into them like you put into other people who are trending with you).
The same energy you put into pleasing people on the job, I want you to put that level in Me, at a minimum. (Some of us will wake up early to get to work. We will skip lunch to finish a project. We will go in sick for work. We will miss our kids activities because of work. We will do whatever work say do, but then as soon as someone say, wake up early to pray and spend time with the Lord, we weak. We couldn’t get up. We got distracted. We didn’t feel good. We __________ (fill in the blank. I don’t know who this is for, but I know God gave it to me to share. I don’t have a job I go to, because I work for myself, but I been there before. Always willing and able for everybody BUT God).
Be bold and do what I put on your heart to do.
Don’t even think about what will happen afterwards.
Stop trying to figure out how I am going to do it, just follow my instructions.
Y’all, the Lord is really on me about that last one…stop trying to figure out how I am going to do it. Everyday I have to surrender all over again and ask for forgiveness because I am always trying to “see” how God gonna do it. I am probably holding up my blessings or losing time on an assignment because I keep trying to figure certain things out.
Like for instance, there is a vehicle that I want. I prayed that I get the vehicle and don’t have to pay for it. Now that’s some crazy faith ain’t it? I should have crazy faith, right? But what I have mostly is…just the crazy part. You know…that’s crazy. How can God do that? Who is going to donate a car to me and why would they? A whole car for free? I don’t know if that is even…
You see what I mean. My mind starts doing that regularly and I know that’s not of God! Because I have seen with my own eyes, people get blessed with cars. Matter of fact, when I went to the dealership to order the vehicle I wanted ( IN FAITH), the sales guy told me they gave away cars! So why would I be tripping??? I will tell you why. Because it has never happened to anyone I know! But does that mean it can’t happen for me? IT CAN HAPPEN FOR ME! I got to be BOLD in my FAITH and shut down those thoughts that it can’t happen! I have to speak to the thoughts and say….BUT IT CAN HAPPEN! The Lord is ready to do some bold things in our lives, but we must have bold faith! Pray bold prayers. Take bold actions in faith. Me going to the dealership to order a car was a bold faith move. I don’t know how, but I know God can and He will!

Now, the final thing I want to share that I saw when I opened my Bible for the Scriptural Surprise was this: Even in the midst of judgment, God’s mercy is seen! When God’s people return to him in repentance, He will return to them (thank you God) and limit or even reverse the consequences of their disobedience!
Now yall, I didn’t even read that in a scripture. That was in the introduction to the book of Lamentations!! That’s where I flipped the Bible open this morning! And I read a few scriptures, but I believe that was what the Holy Spirit wanted me to see this morning. When I turned my life away from sin and repented for those sins, God returned to me! That right there alone will make you shout! He returned to me! THEN, wait a minute. Not only that, the Tony Evans Study Bible said, he limited and even reversed the consequences of my disobedience. I really could have just shared that and it would have been enough for today’s blog! WOOOOO WEEEEE JESUS! When I think about Jesus and what He’s done for me, I can dance dance dance dance dance dance dance all night! That part! Y’all, let that sink in, because some of y’all sitting at work and you not getting it. THINK ABOUT ALL THE TIMES YOU WERE DISOBEDIENT! And you don’t have to even think long either! LOL!
It says the book of Lamentations is a reminder of God’s covenantal Kingdom sanctions - namely that sin brings pain and tears, but God is always ready to show mercy when we repent and return to him.

Be Bold this morning! And know that you can’t limit God, but He CAN limit the consequences on you for your disobedience!!! And even reverse them!! Shout with me!! Hallelujah!!
