Today is a very special day for On Assignment By God. As I got up this morning and went in the prayer closet though, I wasn’t thinking that much about the milestone of today. I went into the prayer closet on assignment. I went into the prayer closet ready to praise my Lord and Savior. And that’s exactly what I did. I had a worship experience and lifted the name of the Most High God.

As I continued to worship and honor my Lord and Savior, I asked the Holy Spirit to take over. Now let me tell you something, when you say those words right there out of your mouth, be ready to be used by the Holy Spirit is a mighty way!! Even you ain’t ready, but you’re willing, you will be used in a mighty way.

The atmosphere in the prayer closet changed and I just let the Holy Spirit have His way. And it wasn’t one of those calm prayers either. Even thought I was praying in the Spirit, I knew I was warring!! I knew I breaking off strongholds, habits, and demonic agendas in the mighty name of Jesus! The Holy Spirit had me in this bold stance and I felt this strong surge of authority overtake me. I took that authority and told the enemy, I ain’t gonna stand for it!! I was loosing strongholds off of me, my family, my friends, and whomever else as I was praying in the Spirit.

I heard the Holy Spirit say:

  • Blessings are being held up because of disobedience.

  • Obey Me Period.

  • Don’t go backwards. I’ve brought you too far for you to go back.

  • Get rid of it once and for all! But you can only do that with Me!

  • I broke the chains, but you need to remove the cuffs!

  • Don’t stand for it. When you see something, say something!

Yall, I was up pacing the closet and then I was on my face praying! I have authority and I wasn’t going to stand for the enemy doing same ole same ole. Enough is enough. God set the standard and doggone it, that settles it. I ain’t standing for no more mediocrity. I ain’t standing no more for stuff that is just lingering like a pesky nat. You know what I am talking about too. Stuff that you been working on being better at FOREVER! Stuff that you been saying that you’re trying to do right. Stuff that you know God is not pleased with and you keep trying to change the thing on your own. The Lord said you can’t get rid of it on your own, you must do it with Him.

I ain’t going to stand for it no more. That habit IS BROKEN OFF OF YOU RIGHT NOW IN JESUS NAME! In full transparency, I used to drink alcohol (whiskey to be specific). I never felt like I was addicted, but I knew I used it as a coping mechanism when things got hard or when I just wanted to avoid dealing with whatever was going on in my life, but when I started praying consistently, that desire for alcohol broke off of me immediately! It didn’t take years, months, or even days. I said immediately!

Today, we got to take our authority given to us and stop standing on the sidelines watching our family and friends keep going down the wrong path under the illusion of them “working on it” or “trying to get it together.” I ain’t standing for it no more. The Lord said get rid of it once and for all, but you got to do it with Him.

And the part in my prayer where the Holy Spirit said I broke the chains, you need to remove the cuffs. Yall, I felt that thang so strong! The Lord has already freed us because the Bible says whom the son sets free is truly free indeed! We are free. The chains have been broken. Yet we still walking around with the cuffs on. We free but the enemy wants you to think you still chained and in bondage to that sin. YOU ARE NOT! YOU ARE FREE! So remove the cuffs. But you’re like how do I do that. JESUS! That’s how. PRAYING! That’s how! Lord take these cuffs of bondage off of me.

You remember the the Bible story of the three Hebrew boys being thrown in the fire. It says when God brought them out of the fire, they didn’t even smell like smoke. Like you couldn’t even tell they had been in a fire. The only way you know is through their testimony! Remove the cuffs. You don’t need no reminders of what used to have you bound!!! My God! I said you don’t need no reminders of what used to have you bound. The reason you keep finding yourself back in the prison is because you still sporting the cuffs. Get rid of the things once and for all and the only way you can do that is with the power of Jesus Christ!

Because I am going to tell you now…you come around me with the cuffs still on…I ain’t going to stand for it! I’m gonna be snatching chains like Debo! LOL!!! (some of yall caught that, but for the others…the movie is called Friday).

_______________

Now, earlier I said today is a very special day for On Assignment by God. But as you can see, I had to COMPLETE MY ASSIGNMENT first and that’s share what me and the Holy Spirit talked about this morning! And speaking of sharing my conversations, today marks the 1 year anniversary of this blog assignment!!!!!! YES YES YES YES YES!!! It was one year ago today that I started this blog out of obedience to the Lord instructing me to share the conversations He and I were having in the prayer closet.

As I went down memory lane this morning, I cried like a baby. I wasn’t sad, but I was humbled by the experience that the Lord has taken me through over this last year! I thought about the times where I didn’t want to do it, but pushed through. I thought about the times where the technology was tripping, but God still made a way for it to happen. I thought about when I first posted the blog, I didn’t share it with anybody (which was me only giving the Lord partial obedience) but the Lord sent someone to me asking about MY WEBSITE for my t-shirt business and I didn’t even have one. But I did have this blog. It was when the person said, “you don’t have any website?” that made me realize that God has sent someone to pull me right into FULL OBEDIENCE! I thought about the times where I traveled and had to blog from other people’s houses and hotels. I thought about all the times where the blog helped people hear messages from God for THEMSELVES.

But as I was thinking, the Lord wanted me to pause and just soak in how proud of me He is for being committed, loyal, dedicated, faithful, and non-negotiable to Him for the last year. When I added up how many blog posts (and I hope I did the math right), but as of today I have written 314 blog posts of my conversations with God. Whew! As tears of joy stream down my face, I can say that I never would have made it without the Lord God on my side each and every morning. When I surrendered and let Him have His way, He made a way!

I love the Lord with all my heart and soul and I am thankful that He decided to use me in this most special way.

314 blogs…WOW GOD! You have truly blown my mind today! And I just heard Him say, I am more proud of you for your obedience Fon.

Hearts and Hugs!!

P.S. If you love hearing my conversation with My Lord God on with this blog and podcast, pray about being a supporter! I'd love for us to connect even more and see how God uses us, as we are ON ASSIGNMENT for Him. Amen!
