Have you ever felt true love? You know the kind that is compassionate, loyal, truthful, and faithful? The kind that keeps no records of wrongs and even says, “why you keep bringing that up because I casted that mistake into the sea of forgetfulness.” (Micah 7:19)
Have you ever experienced a love like this? The kind that lays down his life for you?
This morning felt like a true love prayer closet moment. I was in tears as I was pouring out my adoration to my Lord and Savior. I was listening to this song entitled, Most Beautiful/So In Love by Maverick City Music. The lyrics really take are expressive. It says: I’m so in love with you. You’re beautiful, so beautiful. I fix my eyes on You, You’re beautiful, so beautiful. With just one look everything changes. I’m captivated and I’ll never be the same.
If you’ve been rocking with me on this blog and podcast, you know I am a person who loves love and all things relationships, and I have for a long time. And this song caught me in a moment where I was calling my Lord and Savior most beautiful and I got so caught up. I begin to thank the Lord for our relationship. And I heard Him say: I have never failed you. I am faithful to you. And what gets me emotional is that the words are compassionate, loyal, truthful and faithful. All the elements I desire in my heart for my own relationship.
One thing I realize is that the Lord has had to show me what real and true love is before I could ever experience it in the natural. As much as I have wanted to rush natural love, I am so grateful for the Lord slowing me down to show me, teach me, and allow me to experience love at the standard by which is now set for any other relationship I ever enter within. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV says,
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 4-7 NIV
As I was reading in the Scriptural Surprise in Acts 25 where it was talking about Paul being imprisoned under false accusations. The Holy Spirit said: No matter what you’re accused of; no matter what they try to accuse you of, I am in control.
That’s love…a protective love.
Today, I encourage you to fall in love with Jesus. This kind of love is never failing. And I have failed at relationships, but this morning, I felt the peace of knowing that this relationship I have with my Lord and Savior is never failing, no matter what I have done or been accused of, He loves ME! So much so that He sees me as beautiful. He created me and said I was good. And even when I got off track, He loved me right back into His arms, purified me back to my original value and place with Him. I’m quite emotional when I just think about this love we have. The way He has taken his time to make sure I am whole. Y’all, I am trying to end this, but I just want to thank the Lord publicly for loving me and never leaving me. No matter what I have done, He’s been right there with me. I didn’t always acknowledge Him, but I always felt that He was right there.
I am listening to this song Refiner as I write this blog and the tears just won’t stop rolling. Wow. There is No Greater Love than one that will lay down His life for a friend (John 15:13).
May God’s love for you consume you today.
Hearts and Hugs!!
