Family Restoration
This morning I felt the heaviness of family so I prayed and interceded for the FAMILY UNIT to be RESTORED to what God intended originally.
As I prayed, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Now don’t YOU take on the heavy burden of family restoration, give it to me. I never meant for you to carry heaviness.”
I thought about that and these two scripture came to mind:
“Come to me all of you who are tired. You are like people who have worked for a long time. You are like people who have carried heavy things. Come to me. If you do that, you will find a place to rest. Do what I teach you to do. Listen to my message and learn from me what is true. I am very kind and I do not make myself important. I will help you. Then you will have peace in your mind. I will not tell you to do things that are too difficult. I will not tell you to carry anything that is too heavy for you.’” — Matthew 11:28-30 EASY
“and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” — Isaiah 61:3 NIV
Holy Spirit said, “You intercede in prayer and I will take it from there!!”
I pray for broken families to be restored in Jesus name.
I pray for generational curses to be broken off of families in Jesus name.
I pray for grieved families to be healed in Jesus name.
I pray for families to be how God designed them to be in Jesus name.
I pray for God to rebuild families in Jesus name.
When I looked in my Dr. Tony Evans Study Bible to see what it said about family, here is what I read:
The family unit is to serve as a visible photograph of God himself. The mission of the family is the replication of the image of God in history and to carry out his divinely mandated dominion. The mission of the family is the reflection of God through the ADVANCEMENT OF HIS KINGDOM and RULE ON EARTH. — Dr. Tony Evans Bible
As I kept my Bible open and turned to Nehemiah for our Scriptural Bible Study in chapter 8, verses 6, 8, 10, 11, and 13 stood out to me. I love in verse 10 were it says: DO NOT GRIEVE, BECAUSE THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH.
And it was in verse 13 where I saw the word FAMILY. It says: On the second day, the family heads of all the people, along with the priest and Levites assembled before the scribe Ezra to study the words of the law.
The men were the family heads. And in the study notes I read that the men agreed that they had better take their rightful position. They understood that if the law of God does not flow through the leadership of the FAMILY, it won’t get passed down to the kids. THUS, they set about the task of studying scripture.
This morning I prayed for the FAMILY UNIT! The one God made. In Genesis 1:26-28, 31:
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
My prayer today is that God restores the family to be what He originally designed for it to be. My prayer is that each one of us takes the role God gave us and do it the way God made us to do it. And anything else that is contrary to that is not of God. One of the biggest strategies of the enemy is to destroy the family. Let’s ensure that we don’t take no parts in that! Restore your family God…in Jesus name I pray. Amen!
SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
