He Gives Me Everything I Need!
WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING
I want to ask you a question this morning. Have you tried Jesus? No, I am serious. Have you tried Him by asking for something, believing He was going to give it to you, and then you got it right away? Or are you feeling like He hasn’t answered what you have been asking for yet?
This morning I simply want to encourage you. I woke up later than usual, but still within the 5 a.m. hour. As you already know, I had to fight the feeling of letting Holy Spirit down for not being on-time for our time together. Side note: No matter how many times I know that Holy Spirit is proud of me even if I am late, I still semi-struggle to let it roll off of my back. But now that I am thinking about it, maybe that’s because I need to feel the angst of it to stay humbly connected to the mission and the assignment. But I love how I eventually feel the presence of the Holy Spirit hugging me and letting me know to keep praying consistently, even if it’s not perfectly on time.
Okay so back to encouraging you. This morning after I prayed what didn’t seem like a FIRE prayer, but more like an, “I’m sorry I’m late to pray… prayer,” I asked the Holy Spirit to just give me a Word. I needed some uplifting at that very moment. Y’all I flipped open my Bible not just for the scriptural surprise, but I flipped it open in Faith for the Word that I knew the Lord would give me… and He DID JUST THAT!
I opened it right to the book of Psalms! Specifically Psalms 56! Here it is in the Passion Translation, copied from bible.com. I pray that it encourages you like it encouraged me this morning! I have bolded the verses that really spoke to me (verses 8, 11-13).
Trusting in God
For the Pure and Shining One
King David’s golden song of instruction composed when the Philistines captured him in Gath, to the tune of “The Oppression of the Princes to Come”
1Lord, show me your kindness and mercy,
for these men oppose and oppress me all day long.
2Not a day goes by but that somebody harasses me.
So many in their pride trample me under their feet.
3But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you
and trust in you with all my heart.
4What harm could a man bring to me?
With God on my side I will not be afraid of what comes.
The roaring praises of God fill my heart,
and I will always triumph as I trust his promises.
5Day after day cruel critics distort my words;
constantly they plot my collapse.
6Lurking in the dark, waiting, spying on my movements in secret
to take me by surprise, ready to take my life.
7They don’t deserve to get away with this!
Look at their wickedness, their injustice, Lord.
In your fierce anger cast them down to defeat.
8You’ve kept track of all my wandering and my weeping.
You’ve stored my many tears in your bottle—not one will be lost.
For they are all recorded in your book of remembrance.
9The very moment I call to you for a father’s help
the tide of battle turns and my enemies flee.
This one thing I know: God is on my side!
10I trust in the Lord. And I praise him!
I trust in the Word of God. And I praise him!
11What harm could man do to me?
With God on my side I will not be afraid of what comes.
My heart overflows with praise to God and for his promises.
I will always trust in him.
12So I’m thanking you with all my heart,
with gratitude for all you’ve done.
I will do everything I’ve promised you, Lord.
13For you have saved my soul from death
and my feet from stumbling
so that I can walk before the Lord
bathed in his life-giving light.

After reading this scripture along with chapter 57 of Psalms, I heard the Holy Spirit say this:
“I will give you everything you need when you ask Me. I will withhold nothing good from you Fon!!”
That’s exactly what I needed and I am so thankful that when we ask the Lord for what we need (including an encouraging word), and we believe that He will give it to us, we receive it immediately! The Lord knows WHEN to give it to us, so if you haven’t gotten it yet, that means He knows something you don’t know and He will give it when the time is right; and He also gives it when He knows you will recognize that ONLY HE could have given it to you! Here are two scriptures you can stand on: Philippians 4:19 and also Psalms 84:11. Whenever you feel like the Lord hasn’t answered your request, go to these verses and meditate on them. One thing I know for sure is that He loves you so much and He cares about everything you care about.
Hearts & Hugs & Encouragement from the Lord above!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make! Feel free to email me at info@onassignmentbyGod.com and let me know about your newfound life or if you need prayer for anything.
