This morning, I want to start off with giving you the Word of God because so many believers are letting the coronavirus fears paralyze them. And I know because if you watch the news for even 5 minutes, you’re inundated with reports about it that tend to create fear. But our God is bigger than any strand that man can come up with.

Yes, I know the news should share tips on how to protect yourself and all, but don’t count on the news for your guidance in any situation. Plus the negative outweigh the positives on the news and you’ll find yourself caught up in the negativity under the auspices of trying to get the tips or good news. You can’t count on the news, but you can always count on God.

Before I share the scripture that you should read (and pick out your own favorite parts to meditate and repeat), I want to share what the Lord said to me in our conversation this morning. He said: When you’re connected, you’re protected!! And that leads us right on into Psalm 91 and I am sharing the the Message translation because I just think you need to read it how you talk (feel free to read the KJV or NIV too):

Psalm 91 The Message (MSG)

91 1-13 You who sit down in the High God’s presence,
    spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow,
Say this: “God, you’re my refuge.
    I trust in you and I’m safe!”
That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
    shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you—
    under them you’re perfectly safe;
    his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
    not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
    not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
    drop like flies right and left,
    no harm will even graze you.
You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
    watch the wicked turn into corpses.
Yes, because God’s your refuge,
    the High God your very own home,
Evil can’t get close to you,
    harm can’t get through the door.
He ordered his angels
    to guard you wherever you go.
If you stumble, they’ll catch you;
    their job is to keep you from falling.
You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
    and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

14-16 “If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God,
    “I’ll get you out of any trouble.
I’ll give you the best of care
    if you’ll only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times;
    I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I’ll give you a long life,
    give you a long drink of salvation!”

In addition to that, the Holy Spirit and I talked about a few other things. As I was praying fervently, I heard weight bearing load. Now of course, I didn’t really know what the Lord meant by this. Then I heard, the weight that I put on you can only be carried with My Strength in you. I live on the inside of you! Then He said, I never put more weight on you where I am not there to spot you or carry it for you.

Now of course I started using Google so that the Holy Spirit could guide me. First thing I found when I looked up weight bearing load was load bearing wall:

load-bearing wall or bearing wall is a wall that is an active structural element of a building, that is, it bears the weight of the elements above wall, resting upon it by conducting its weight to a foundation structure. The materials most often used to construct load-bearing walls in large buildings are concrete, block, or brick.

And in reading all that, the Holy Spirit then led me to this scripture in Matthew 11:

Matthew 11:28-30 The Message (MSG)

28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

The Lord is saying, come to Him and stick with Him through every situation! He is our refuge.

And finally, this last thing that Holy Spirit said to me in the prayer closet is specifically for someone and I don’t even know who you are, but the Lord said: Get the paperwork in order. I don’t think I have any paperwork out of order, but sometimes when the Lord speaks something I don’t immediately grasp, He will bring it to my attention. If this word is for you though, take a hold of it and be obedient. Get the paperwork in order.

That’s it for today’s early morning conversation with God!
