Have you ever been at a fork in the road? You were trying to decide which way to go. Should I go left? Should I go right? Which way is the right way to go? Which way is going to get me to my destination? Ever been there? Or maybe you’ve never encountered a fork in the road. Maybe you had more than two options to choose from, but yet you were still stuck on which way to go.
This morning the Holy Spirit said, I AM your guide. I will tell you which way to go.
As I was reading from the book of Isaiah, chapter 30 in the Scriptural Surprise, verse 20 and 21 stood out to me. The Lord was waiting to show mercy to Israel and in those verses it says:
The Lord will give you meager bread and water during oppression, but your Teacher will not hide any longer: Your eyes will see your Teacher. (21) and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: “This is the way. Walk in it.”
These verses stood out and I heard the Holy Spirit say, I AM your guide. Follow Me. When you are at a fork in the road, listen for my voice to tell you which way to go. Don’t move until you hear from Me.
If you’re like me, sometimes we get in such a rush and we just pick a route to take without hearing what God has to say about it. Then we find ourselves encountering trouble and heartache that He never meant for us to endure…all because we didn’t wait to hear from Him. I know that has happened to me plenty of times in my life. From love, to career, to just daily living, I have taken the left when I should have taken the right. But trying to go to fast, I ended up on the long road.
What about you? Have you gotten it right more times than wrong? Or have you gotten it wrong more times that right? If it’s the latter, be encouraged today to let the Holy Spirit be your guide. He will certainly TELL YOU THE WAY TO GO!
When you keep reading in that same chapter of Isaiah, verse 23 says the Lord will send rain for the seed that we have sown in the ground, and the food, the produce of the ground, will be rich and plentiful. Because this verse follows the other verses, I believe that the Lord is saying He will also tell you what to sow and where to sow it. And once we are obedient, then He will send rain on it so that we will reap a rich and plentiful harvest!
The Holy Spirit said: NO LIMITS.
Now you know me, of course I thought about rapper Master P and his no limit solder brand. LOL! But when the Holy Spirit says no limits, that means there are NO LIMITS to what He can do in our lives when we listen to his guidance and are obedient to His voice.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 ESV
Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you or are you still trying to lead yourself?
Be encouraged today to let The Great I Am, The Holy of Holiest, The King of Kings, The Lord of Lord, The One who knows what is up ahead, what is around the corner, what is in the future, which way is best, and which way gets you to your purpose and destiny; let our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit that lives on the inside of you…GUIDE YOU in every area of your life!
