It’s a gorgeous Saturday morning! I have my coffee and I am enjoying where I am in my life right! I give my Lord and Savior all the glory and all the praise for this moment right here. God brought me to this point in my life and I couldn’t be more at peace with His pace. I wasn’t always like this, so that’s why I acknowledge Him today for this moment. I am just basking in His presence this morning.

Y’all know I love Saturdays. I used to love them because it was a break from the hustle and bustle of the week, but wouldn’t you know it, ain’t no more hustle and bustle. LOL! Saturdays are like Tuesdays now. It doesn’t really matter what day it is, especially if you’re not still going into an office every day. Of course for those listeners and readers who are still going into the office, you’ve probably kept up with the days way better than us stay-at-homers.

But believe the Lord is doing a full reset of our lives. Things are different for everybody now, even those who don’t like change have been forced to change in some form or fashion. Everybody’s story has changed and the Holy Spirit said I am giving you a new story, so that I can get ALL THE GLORY! It may not make sense to you, but trust Me.

Lord, I trust your Way and I love how you lead and guide me even through our daily conversations.

And speaking of today’s conversation, the Holy Spirit had a word for me (and you too). In my early morning conversation, I heard the Holy Spirit say:

  • I’ll take it from here!

  • I am always going to provide everything you need for every area of your life.

  • I will provide what you need in love, so stop striving.

  • I will provide what you need in business, so stop striving.

  • I will provide what you need as a Mom, so stop striving.

  • I will provide what you need to be generous to others, so stop striving.

As I was listening and writing down what I heard from the Holy Spirit this morning, I was led to research the word strive. One of the definitions said it means to struggle. So if I am to replace the word strive with the word struggle in what the Holy Spirit said to me, it would look like this:

  • I will provide what you need in love, so stop struggling.

  • I will provide what you need in business, so stop struggling.

  • I will provide what you need as a Mom, so stop struggling.

  • I will provide what you need to be generous to others, so stop struggling.

As I kept on researching, I found another blog post that showed me a scripture that I already knew, but had never seen this translation. It’s Psalms 46:10. We have all heard: Be Still and know that I am God. But check out out this translation in the New American Standard Bible: “Cease striving and know that I am God.

See when you go deeper with what the Holy Spirit says to you, you get even more revelation. The Lord is telling me to Stop struggling in every area of my life and specifically: love, business, parenting, and giving. He said, okay that’s enough Fon, that’s enough (insert your name here). I’ll take it from here! You sit there. Be still. Stop struggling. And KNOW that I am God. It doesn’t mean we aren’t to work, set goals, or be intentional, but it’s a matter of us not trying to force or control outcomes in our lives.

I also saw this quote as I was doing my research and I feel that it sums it up nicely:

“God takes full responsibility for the life wholly devoted to Him.” ~Charles Stanley

The Holy Spirit says…now that you have devoted yourself to me FULLY, I’ll take it from here!
