WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

I am so excited to let y’all know that I got up on time this morning!! I am even more proud of myself because I was super sleepy and tired, but I got up anyway! Remember yesterday’s blog I mentioned seeking the Kingdom of God and living righteously and he will give you everything you need (Matthew 6:33)? Well, I am happy to report that He did just that!!!!

So y’all know when I first started this journey of waking up early to pray back in February, I was doing it. I’m talking about doing it real good!! It didn’t matter if I was tired, sleepy, or not feeling my best, I got my butt up. Why? Because I was in a life group that held me accountable. We had to text in every morning that we were up praying, and I didn’t want to be the one who didn’t text in. LOL!!

Well when that life group ended in May, I was still doing good, but eventually, I noticed that I wasn’t always as punctual. If you’ve read the blog any, you know that I have had to pray my way through feeling guilty for getting up later (and when I say later, I mean 5:55 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 6:15 a.m. etc.).

Well yesterday I was in my new life group meeting, and the group leader said toward the end of the meeting that she wanted us to go even deeper with our relationship with the Lord and do corporate prayer. I was like cool! Then she asked, “how many of you will commit to waking up at 5 a.m. to pray every weekday?” I literally just started laughing, so much so that she noticed. I ended up telling her why. You see, even though I was still getting my prayers in, I felt like that 5 a.m. wake-up just had a different kind of anointing on it. Not that my 5:55 didn’t have anointing, but it was something about getting up on time and praying at 5:00 a.m.!!

The point of me telling you this story is that God WILL give you EVERYTHING you need. I needed community again (like the 1 hour prayer challenge group) to hold me accountable. I do well with accountability. And that’s actually in every area of my life. I always do better when I know other people are waiting on me, depending on me, holding space for me, or simply looking for me. When my new life group leader asked the question of who, listen…I had both hands up! LOL!! This was EVERYTHING I needed to get back to waking up at 5. And our group won’t even start this until Monday, but I got up today at 5! And I didn’t go to bed early! I knew it was God when the life group leader made the request, and that made me smile and chuckle. He loves me so much that He will give me exactly what I need, when I need it…and that’s because I SEEK Him for everything. He put me with the right life group, with the right leader who is being obedient and in turn being an answered prayer for me! WOOOOOOW!

This morning, I prayed mostly in the Spirit. I was sleepy and weak and I learned this morning, that’s one of the best places to be in for full surrender to the Holy Spirit. LOL! I was too tired for my routine prayers, so I just flowed in the Spirit and prayed in unknown tongues for pretty much the whole hour. Praying in unknown tongues is the perfect way to pray because you’re praying the perfect will of God. You won’t know, but God knows. And that’s who has the power to change everything with your prayers.

After I finished praying, I just wrote what I heard. Lately I had been feeling like I was curating the Holy Spirit into thematic utterances. I felt like what He was giving me needed to all relate for the sake of the blog. But I didn’t know how to break from that feeling. I just prayed about that feeling too. Well this morning, I was too tired to curate or see what themes existed. And to be honest, I am thankful for it because I know this rawness is about to be exactly what you and I both need to hear. So here it is exactly how I got it from the Holy Spirit:

  • Pass it

  • When the price is spoken, say okay because I will provide.

  • You are strong.

  • Grab it…even if you don’t know what to do with it.

  • Don’t apologize.

  • Be bold. Be confident. Be you.

  • Pursue radiance.

  • Show up.

  • Replace “I can’t” with “I Will.”

  • Don’t try to handle it all, just do your part.

  • Go for it all the way.

  • Not everyone is meant to serve in the background. Come out from back there!

  • Love hard like you have never been hurt before.

  • Be unstoppable with writing down what you hear from Me.

  • You won’t miss it.

  • Stay connected.

  • You CAN hear me!

  • There is power in community

  • Partner

  • Partner Up

  • Partner to GO UP!

  • Hype don’t always mean help.

Today, I just let the Holy Spirit flow! I don’t know what this all means, but that’s the beauty of it. I don’t have to figure it out. The Holy Spirit is my guide. Some of it, I know what it means, but most of it will show proof later. I believe the Word of the Lord.

Proverbs 16:1 says: We can gather our thoughts, but the Lord gives the right answer. And yes that’s exactly what I turned to this morning for the scriptural surprise after the Holy Spirit downloaded all of this to me. I believe these are the answers to somebody’s prayers, including mine.

Have a blessed Thursday!

I am headed to my other new life group, Praying Moms! Yeah y’all, I ain’t playing…I am committed to praying! Join me in this new way of living by getting up early to pray every day.
