You are My business card.
You’ve just heard from the Lord. He said, “YOU are my business card. My people are one big business card representing Me, and ALL I have to offer.”
One of my favorite online pastors is Michael Todd. He is the pastor of Transformation Church in Tulsa, OK. I started watching his sermons in early 2019 and it was like everything he said was spot on for where I was in my life at the time. I mean I binged-watched every single sermon series! I even attended the church’s first ever conference called Version 1 in their new church building right when they received the keys to the building. It was life-changing and transformative for sure.
As I reflected on what the Holy Spirit said to me this morning, Pastor Mike (as he is affectionately called), came to mind. Just like at my church here in Mississippi, Transformation Church also carries what’s known as church merch. You know. Merchandise that you can wear with the church logo on it. As a side note, I think that is one of the best ways to share with others where you worship. T-shirts and hoodies have become a staple in the fashion world and I love that we as believers have cleverly turned fashion into a way to represent our faith.
And that’s the word that I want to focus on for a moment. REPRESENT. When the Holy Spirit said you are my business card, I thought about branding and marketing, one of my areas of expertise and experience. But I just love the way my church, Word of Life, and the way Transformation Church uses clothing to spread the Word of God through branding. At Word of Life, we have merch that says what we do:
Reach the lost
Disciple the found
Empower the called
That tells exactly what the mission of our church is and you didn’t have to come to the church to hear it. For Transformation Church, they use the word Represent. And you can articulate that word two ways. But the way they say it is, RE-presenting God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ.
In Luke 19:10, it says, for the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. One we give our lives to Jesus, we become considered followers of Jesus and we are expected to spread the gospel and disciple to others. In Matthew 28:19-20 it says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Bottom line, WE as believers are the hands and feet of Jesus. That means WE are God’s human business card here on earth and we are to REPRESENT Him. He called us to to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We are to RE-present Him to the lost and the found. We are to disciple to others through things like sharing of our testimonies, sharing inspirational scriptures, words of encouragement, and mostly loving others unconditionally as Jesus did.
Be encouraged today to be about our Father God’s business, his Kingdom agenda. If you don’t know the Kingdom agenda, then that’s even more reason for you to seek Him early and spend time with him daily.
Hearts and Hugs!!
P.S. If you love hearing my conversation with My Lord God on with this blog and podcast, pray about being a supporter! I'd love for us to connect even more and see how God uses us, as we are ON ASSIGNMENT for Him. Amen!

SALVATION PRAYER
If you’re not a believer and have a desire to be, openly confess and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer out loud, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community and start having a conversation through prayer with God every day. And let me be the first to welcome you to your new life with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. YAAAAY!!!!! You made the best decision you could ever make! Feel free to email me at info@onassignmentbyGod.com and let me know about your newfound life or if you need prayer for anything.
