Guess who woke up ready to pray and slay this morning? ME! That’s right! I got up this morning ON ASSIGNMENT BY GOD! I just love it when that happens!
One full hour of praying in my heavenly language..that’s what went down in the prayer closet this morning! I usually have worship music playing in the background and today, I was listening to a new song that just had me all torn up with tears of adoration for my Lord and Savior. Y’all this young lady’s voice ushered the presence of God right on in! I’m listening to it right now as I write this blog post! You can always tell when people are singing from a place that only our Lord and Savior can take them to.
So what did me and Lord God talk about this morning? First of all, did you notice I said LORD God? Let me tell you why. I was reading in Genesis for the Scriptural Surprise this morning (in my Tony Evans Study Bible), and there is a Kingdom Living feature within chapter 3 titled, “Keeping LORD with God” and it talks about how the first conversation between the devil and a human was about God and His word. Satan asked Eve, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden?’ (Genesis 3:1). Satan was trying to get rid of God’s rule and authority by asking this question.
Dr. Evans points out that, a very important part of Satan’s strategy is that he did not seek to get rid of religion. The whole conversation was about God! He even told Eve she could be like God in Genesis 3:5. Satan doesn’t mind religion. You can go to church all day long if you want. What he does mind, through, is when you acknowledge God as ruler over your life. Prior to the conversation between Eve and Satan, the Creator is referenced in Scripture as “Lord God.” This means “ruler, absolute authority.” Yet when Satan talked with Eve, he removed the name “Lord.” He purposefully left out the fundamental principle that God is the rightful King over his kingdom. Will God be “Lord God” to you? Or will you just say that he is “God” while making your own decisions?
Dr. Evans says whenever you allow the evil one to cause you to question the ultimate authority of God in your life, you jeopardize your influence in God’s kingdom and so many Christians never fully live out their destinies.
So guess what I did? I changed my header on my blog to reflect that it’s the Lord God almighty that I am having conversations with! I knew that, but I needed to ensure you knew and anyone else who landed on this page knew.
This morning, my conversation with Lord God was this: Put it in play and establish it! That means everything the Lord has told me to do, put it in play and establish it. Nope, I don’t have to know how it will work. But whatever task will put it in play, that’s the instruction for the day. Put it in play and establish it is exactly what I did changing the blog header to: What Did Lord God Say to Me This Morning? I put it in play and I established it. And it took less than 2 seconds. LOL! What is Lord God telling you to put into play and establish? Is it a business? Is it a book? Is it a song? Is it a piece of artwork? Is it a business deal? Is it a workshop? Is it a program? Is it an invention? What is it?
No matter what it is, PUT IT IN PLAY AND ESTABLISH IT…TODAY!
The other thing that the Lord laid on my heart with everything going on.. is social media. With all the “social distancing” we are being asked to do due to the defeated disease calling itself corona or covid 19, more people will be on social media platforms more than ever. Here’s the question: can Lord God use you on social media? Is Lord God pleased with your posts? Is Lord God pleased with you and your actions?
Before you hit post, pray about it! Get Lord God’s permission slip to post. The Lord wants to use you for the Kingdom, but He can’t right now because you’re not in position for Him to use. You’re still posting foolishness, subliminal messages, and sharing too much. How about you have a whole conversation with the Lord first? Let this time of social distancing draw you in closer proximity to the Lord God almighty! Wooooo Weeee!! If you felt that, it was for you! If you didn’t feel it, it definitely was for you! LOL!
Let’s put in play and establish whatever our Lord God has assigned for us to do!
