WHAT DID MY LORD GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING?
My Daily Conversations With God
The Whole Armor of God
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

This morning the Holy Spirit woke me up in the 3 am hour. Now you remember yesterday He told me He was shifting me. So I didn’t procrastinate when He woke me up. I went straight to the prayer closet and prayed. Then I got back up and prayed some morning later in the morning. That’s when I heard Him say:
Sharpen your sword…which is My Word.
Have My Word at the ready.
Be able to tell the enemy what My Word says.
I flipped open my Bible for the Scriptural Surprise to Psalms. And what a mighty Word I read this morning in chapters 121 - 126. Now of course 119 is the longest chapter, but I believe the Holy Spirit was letting me know, that he is raising me up to a new level, I am going to have to deepen my time with Him in Bible Study. See I can Google scripture based on what I remember hearing in church or sermon watching. But He is saying I need to KNOW WHAT THE WORD SAYS!
I did some more reading this morning and came across a Kenneth Copeland article about using the Word of God as our weapon when we put on the whole armor of God. What I learned is that:
We have to discover what the Word of God says regarding our situation and stand on it.
We must pray those scriptures we learn over our situations.
We must praise God for His promises.
We must use the Word of God to measure our lives up against it.
We must obey the Word and make sure we come to the Lord daily with a forgiving heart. We can’t come to God in anger, bitterness, or resentment. So the first thing we have to do when we come to God in prayer is ask for forgiveness.
We must proclaim the Word of God over our situations.
We must say the Word of God OUT LOUD! Saying it out loud:
Reminds the Lord of His word and shows Him that we believe it.
Reminds us of His words because we need to be reminded daily what He says about things going on in our lives.
Take a stand against the devil like Jesus did when He told the devil what the Word said in Matthew 4:4-6.
Today, the Lord is saying…okay, what you were doing before was a great start. Now it’s time to come up even higher and learn my Word. That’s preparation!! And when the Lord prepares you, that means, you know it’s for a purpose.
May we all take on this new assignment to sharpen our sword!!
