Trusting God's Moves
It’s a snow-capped morning here in the great state of Mississippi and everything is shut down (or should be). When it comes to snow and ice, we hunker down for real. We don’t have all the equipment to clear paths for people to move around. We just “sat down somewhere” as the people in the rural parts say. LOL!
This morning I was hunkered down or more like bowed down in my prayer closet. I had my blanked wrapped around me for extra warmth and I got my praise and prayer on.
Here’s what the Holy Spirit said to me:
When I clear things out of your path, I move them out of the way. Whatever is in your way of doing what I called you to do, I will move it. You may not understand why they are not there anymore, but I do. Trusting me is trusting MY MOVES.
Holy Spirit said Trust My Moves:
When it don’t make sense
When it’s frustrating
When it adds pressure
When it leaves you all alone from people.
TRUST MY MOVES!
Trust who I move in
Trust who I move out
Trust who I move away
Trust who I move near
TRUST MY MOVES!
TRUST, don’t TRY to Understand.
As I was jotting all that heard from the Holy Spirit in my journal, I started confessing my trust. I said Lord, I just your every move. I trust you Lord!
When I flipped open my Bible heading to Psalm 15 because today is February 15th, I ran across these Hope Words in my Bible: God will meet you where you are, and take you where He wants you to be.
That goes right in line with Him clearing a path. He is with us on this journey. We are not alone and we must trust everything He is doing along the way to our purpose and the destination He has set for us all along.
What should our posture be on this journey?
As I read Psalm 15 and 115, I was reminded of a few things that we are to do:
Love God.
Love People
Fear the Lord
Trust in the Lord
See it’s one thing to claim that we love God, but it’s a whole other thing to DEMONSTRATE it through everything we think, say, and do! Two of the greatest commandments according to Mark 12: 29-30 is to LOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE.
Psalm 115:11 really confirmed the conversation for me:
You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and shield. Psalm 115:11 CSB
When you make that scripture personal, it sounds like this: I fear the Lord. I trust in the Lord. He is MY HELPER and MY SHIELD! And verses 12-13 say: The Lord remembers us and will bless us. He will bless those who fear Him— small and great alike.
SALVATION PRAYER
If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and you’re not a believer, but you have a desire to be, all you have to do is openly confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9). When you pray that prayer, you are saved. Get connected with a good, bible-based church in your community, stay connected to other believers, and start having daily conversations through prayer with God every single day. Welcome to your new life with Jesus Christ!!!
