What God Has For You…Is Yours!

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THIS MORNING

Welcome to a new day!! A day that God is fully able to give you exactly what belongs to you! This morning I prayed and the scriptural surprise was from the book of Joshua, chapters 16 and 17. These chapters were all about inheritances. As I read, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “what I have for you is yours, Fon, and it doesn’t matter who is already there. I will strengthen you to drive out whomever is possessing what I have told you is yours.”

That’s enough right there to shout about!!! I am praising God for reminding me that what He has for me, is already mine! In the book of 1 Corinthians 2:9, it says, No eye has seen, nor ear has heard and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.

As I was reading my bible this morning, two verses stood out to me in Joshua chapter 17. They were verses 4 and 18. In verse 4, the women reminded Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the Israelite leaders that the Lord had commanded Moses to give them an inheritance along with the men of their tribe. In my journal, I wrote down: when God has told you it’s yours you don’t have to be timid or afraid to go and remind those who are handing out inheritances, what the Lord said! As women, we don’t always step forward in boldness and confidence, but these 5 daughters of Zelophehad was like, heeey, don’t leave us out while you’re handing out land inheritances. Our dad didn’t have any sons, but the Lord SAID give us an inheritance along with the men of our tribe! This motivated me and I pray it motivates the women reading this too! GO GET YOURS WOMAN OF GOD!

In verse 18, Joshua is responding to the request of Joseph’s descendants who are letting him know that what they received in their land inheritance is not enough for all the people in the tribe. Joshua told them since they are so large and so strong, they will be given more than one portion (double portion anyone?) But in getting it, he also encouraged them by letting them know they can drive out the strong Canaanites who are already there!

That’s a word for me and for you! It doesn’t matter who is there now, what God has for you is yours! Whomever is currently there now will be driven out!!!! Whether it’s a job God has for you that already has someone in it; whether it’s a space in the business world that seems to be dominated by someone else; or even if it’s a house that is yours but someone else is living in it right now. Listen, what God has for you IS YOURS…no matter what it looks like right now. Keep your eyes on Him and watch how no eye, ear, or mind will be able to fathom the blessings that God has prepared JUST FOR YOU!

This has me super excited about what God is doing in my life! I trust Him and I only want what He wants for me! Nothing else will do! If you agree and you’re excited about your inheritance, shout Amen!!
